Fabulous hotel in a great location. Recommend Engelberg, it is a beautiful place to hike and cycle.
Pros:

Location of hotel and spacious room. Reception and valet staff gave us a warm welcome and were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Nothing was too much effort for them. Superb service.

Cons:

Room was too hot. Aircon didn't get cool enough for a warm week. Breakfast staff were unable to get our orders correct each morning. Please allow them to write the orders down and train the kitchen staff to get the orders right.

Pros:

Everything was amazing! The room, views from the balcony, attention to details, service, children club, Spa etc. the staff is amazing and attentive. The room is very clean. Very child friendly hotel. The best place I stayed in Switzerland by fare. Differently coming back again!

Unsere Erwartungen wurden deutlich übertroffen - aussergewöhnliches Haus!

Selten ein Hotel mit einem so zuvorkommenden, sympathischen, freundlichen Personal angetroffen. Die Ausstattung des Hotels übertrifft jeder Erwartung an ein 5 Sterne-Hotel: mit vielen liebevollen Details spürt man, dass der Gast sich zu jederzeit wohl fühlen soll. Das Innendesign ist harmonisch, durchdacht und sehr gelungen. Die Küche ist fantastisch und die Weinkarte bestätigt den Gesamteindruck des Hotels - sehr gelungen!

Great hotel with great staff let down by ridiculously high food and drink prices
Pros:

The property was in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the station and overlooking the surrounding mountains.
The building has been renovated to an excellent standard. Staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough to help us enjoy our stay.

Cons:

The food prices were a little ridiculous. I know it’s a 5 star hotel but it’s almost like they don’t want you to eat there - I’ve been to many other 5 star hotels and this one has to be up there in terms of food and drink costs.
