Amazing place, super clean, arty, comfy and perfect. Coffee, tea, wine glasses, fridge, microwave... Loved everything
Great location, nice decor, good facilities,
Reasonably priced
Very central location and exceptionally clean rooms with everything we needed. Love the quirky decor and the communication from Blok 74.
As it's a central location, can be noisy in the evening - but we were mostly out ourselves, adding to the noise. Quite at night with comfortable beds, so slept well.
Great location, very close to seafront & shops. Really liked the decor, the room was very cosy and even had a microwave & mini fridge which was a great bonus!
Found bed to be a little uncomfortable
Convenient location
A hook on the back of the bathroom door please. We had the ground floor room which was a bit noisy at night with people walking past and vehicles.
Really good location, easy access
TV remote didn't work. No tv
Great location. Nice and clean.
Reasonable price.
The rooms are a little small but for what you pay I think it's very good.
Great central location and easy to get to from station you can walk if like walking as downhill as hills are very steep in Brighton.
Plus I've been to Brighton a few times so know where to cut through Rds to get to Middle Street.
Very handy to go to entertainments venue Brighton Centre just down the road literally 10 mins.
Plus the seafront on your door stop so I went for a walk in the morning for exercise.
The hotel its self inside could do with some sound proofing as you can hear a lot going on in other rooms, I can imagine it in summertime it will be even more activity and noiser, so not for a quiet time if thats what you want.
The room was decently furnished and the bed was very comfortable. Keycode access and location was very convenient.
There was no luggage storage, so we had to spend an additional £28 to store our suitcases elsewhere for 2 hours before check in. For that additional cost we could have stayed at better hotel and not had to worry about moving our stuff to and from.
We were also awoken at 2am by pubgoers, the bathroom vent appears to lead directly to the street, so light sleepers beware.
Beyond the high touch surfaces, there also appeared to be a thin layer of dust everywhere..
Great location, helpful staff, clean and well supplied. Comfortable bed and good value for money
Very central location, very easy access, provision of small fridge, microwave and crockery and cutlery an unexpected bonus
Mugs didn't fit the coffee machine!
Ubication
I completely understand that prices go up during Brighton Pride. That’s how supply and demand works.
But if you’re going to charge over £200 per night, the very least you can do is provide a decent level of service. Sadly, Blok-74 failed at even the basics.
There’s no luggage storage, so if you arrive early, enjoy dragging your bags all over Brighton.
The bathroom drains were clogged, the cleaning was subpar, and the general state of the room was far from what you’d expect at that price point.
On one of the days, we had no hot water until 3pm. That’s not just inconvenient — it’s unacceptable.
No warning, no compensation, no real apology.
And if you’re lucky enough to get a room facing the internal courtyard, be prepared to be woken up by the staff chatting loudly on the phone outside your window, like we were on Monday 4th August. Over 30 minutes of loud personal conversation while guests are trying to sleep — again, completely unprofessional.
This place charges boutique-hotel prices but offers hostel-level service at best.
There are many better places in Brighton. This one is just a money-grab with a trendy name and zero hospitality.
Great location in the town, access codes all worked well. Everything provided that was needed for a night's stay.
Perhaps double glazing at some point may be needed... it's located opposite a very loud nightclub with joyful revellers' shouts echoing off the passageway walls adjacent to the room until 3am - despite the very thoughtful earplugs and eye masks provided - the noise simply cuts through. So if you're out and about late, it's perfect for you.
