Lovely hotel, comfortable environment and nice facilities
Pros:

This is a lovely hotel right next to the train station. Nice facilities and a comfortable environment. Jacuzzi was out of order which was disappointing and my swim was cut short as staff needed to check chlorine levels. Check in was also slow as there was a conference and 2 staff on check in, which meant I was late to meet friends for supper. But overall a lovely stay and still 5 stars

Lovely care and attention to detail.
Pros:

If you havent ever been to the Novotel, you should. Great service, food and atmosphere. Always gives my holiday vibes too, like you want to take a big exhale. I had the breakfast this morning – so much to choose from. Thanks to Ana for showing me around and all your care for the small touches to make sure my experience was the best and met my dietary needs too. Lovely welcome and help from Bethany too, thank you. Do come here, you will love it as much as I do!

Lovely place but experience could be better.
Pros:

Happy staff, cleanliness, although there was food debris missed underneath the tea/ coffee station table. Dinner was nice , breakfast hot food was cold.

Cons:

Could not use pool, was offered complimentary sparkle treat for grandaughters birthday , didn,t recieve. Only 2 people facilities in room.for 3 people stay. Pull out bed very uncomfortable. Breakfast hot food cold..no bowls / spoons, fresh fruit unavailable, apart from 2 oranges. Booked breakfast in booking but not recognised in hotel , so had to pay extra for breakfast.

Weekend in Cambridge
Pros:

The pool area was good to use in the morning before leaving.

The location is good for a bus into the centre as it stops at the train station next door.

Handy location for our short break.

Cons:

All was good.

DO NOT GO IF YOU WANT TO RELAX
Pros:

Beds were comfy and hotel room clean .

Cons:

Spa facilities was just FULL of children
No safety concerns for the amount of children aloud in the pool. No corners for adult to children ratios. Children were even in the sauna running around. It was honestly like being at centre parcs. Nothing about it was relaxing. They didn't want to offer refund and when they did through booking.com they gave me a small window to respond in time and I missed it so couldn't book somewhere else in time. The relaxing spa weekend away was ruined by 30+ children and adult screaming in the pool and sauna. Children eating snacks babies drinking milk.. in the pool?!

Very welcoming and friendly staff, a great atmosphere and over all a lovely stay!
Pros:

The staff were very welcoming, I travelled with my cat and there were absolutely no issues. The hotel was spotless.

Cons:

On my first morning there was no hot water so had a cold shower, I didn’t mention it at the time as I was in a hurry and by the time I got back in the evening there was hot water, and there were no issues the rest of my stay.
My only other constructive criticism is to make gluten free options more available, in a lot of hotels I’ve stayed in they have a gluten free station at breakfast so that guests don’t have to request items, and it would have been useful to have cards on items to denote if they did or didn’t contain gluten to save time looking for staff to ask.
The room service menu also had VERY limited gluten free options (I think only one item), so I had to order off the main restaurant menu instead (which was also quite limited) - the reception staff were great however and offered a side salad to replace naan bread on a curry to make that gluten free for me. As more and more people start to eat a gluten free diet I think it would be very beneficial to the hotel.
