Lovely staff and a great location

The decor, the location, good facilities, well thought out rooms with mini fridge and a good value for money
I’d have to say the toilet door 😅 being a new couple the door for the bathroom swings into the toilet door it doesn’t feel very private.
Lovely and spacious room. Although it’s not near anything, it’s easy to access main Cambridge by train.
Heated Pool wasn’t warm. Changes rooms cramped for changing, needs more benches
The reception was warm and the decor attractive. The room was large enough for the mobility scooter. The swimming pool was delightfully warm. The starter in the restaurant was good - smoked salmon. Staff , in general, were very helpful and concerned with helping me.
I asked for a room suitable for my mobility problems but the shower had a step into it with no rail. The route to the swimming pool from floor one on the mobility scooter was complex with several chicane-like doors and no one to help with holding them or the lift doors open. I understood later that I could have approached more easily from the ground floor. I had trouble entering the swimming pool and tried to use the emergency phone which I could not make work.
The main course in the restaurant - duck breast - was, in general, good but one of the fondant potatoes seemed a little undercooked.
Excellent hotel and facilities, loved the pool and gym and a super breakfast - perfect for our 24h in Cambridge!
The receptionist was informative and friendly. Breakfast was relaxed and good choice of items.. Not keen on dinner menu and the restaurant staff were lacklustre. Didn't return to take orders, cleared plates and had to ask for dessert menu, coffee was cold. It was too quiet so they felt on a go slow
