Hotel rooms are great, staff are friendly but what the resort has to offer is lacking.
Pros:

Beautiful clean room and swim up pool. Staff are nice and helpful.

Cons:

Not much going on except the water park. Very limited beachfront and lack of big pool. Breakfast restaurant is at not at the hotel location which means you have to take a shuttle there and back. The wait for the shuttle is too long (10-20 minutes) Very inconvenient!

My family would stay again. We wanted the kids to have their first experience in another country and boy did it deliver.
Pros:

Extremely kid friendly. Kids were treated like royalty and the fact that they had Mac and cheese all day everyday made the trip less stressful since that’s all our daughter will eat. Same with French fries because that’s all my son ever wants to eat. And the rubber bottom pools were amazing. I wish we had those back in the US.

Cons:

The room fit everyone nicely. It was just difficult to also fit our luggage without having to unpack or hide the suitcase, or hide the beds every time. The pool off the balcony was pretty chilly when my kids wanted to swim in it. It seems tolerable when the sun is directly over head but it’s very chilly when shaded. The beach is super tiny and the water isn’t clear or swimable, but I get that it’s a reef habitat that’s being restored so I can’t be too upset about that. We did get our beach experience when we swam with dolphins.

Dear Booking.com Customer Service,

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction regarding our current stay at the Nickelodeon Hotel in Mexico.

We arrived at the hotel on April 15 and paid a significant additional amount during our stay, including upgrades and extra services, to enhance our experience. Unfortunately, our experience has been far below expectations.

First, the cleanliness of the room is not satisfactory. The bed sheets are often damp, and the housekeeping service is inconsistent and does not meet proper standards.

Second, the attitude of some staff members is uncomfortable. It often feels that unless a tip is given, the level of service decreases noticeably.

We also had a very unpleasant experience regarding babysitting services. We wanted to briefly leave the hotel to purchase a suitcase while the children were already prepared for bed. Only our 11-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son were still awake watching TV. We were informed that we must hire two babysitters at an excessive cost of $150 per hour, which is unreasonable. We were not even allowed to leave the hotel under these conditions.

Additionally, our departure flight is on April 23 at 20:00. We requested a late check-out and were asked to pay $100 per hour. As we had no choice, we agreed to pay until 16:30. However, when we requested housekeeping service on the day of departure, we were refused on the basis that we were leaving. This is completely unacceptable, especially after paying for extended use of the room.

We traveled a long distance to enjoy this vacation, and we have stayed here before with a much better experience. This time, however, we are very disappointed.

We kindly request that this matter be reviewed and that appropriate compensation or resolution be offered.

We expected a high standard for the price we paid, and this experience did not meet basic expectations.

Great overall trip, pricey no beach access and sewage smells near the rooms.
Pros:

The vacation overall was great. The resort and location are great. The staff are completely top notch and friendly. The orange carpet show was the highlight of our stay. Our son throughly enjoyed his spring break.

Cons:

The price felt like it was too much for the stay. I paid 5300 for 2 adults 1 child for a 4 night stay. I was talking to a representative for the resort while I was waiting for my shuttle and she informed me that I did pay on the higher end for the room. She informed me with a chuckle which felt a bit condescending. Was upset that i wasn't able to get into the beach water at the resort and had to find accommodations just to go to the beach. The rooms location in the early morning smells like bathroom waste and it seems like an ongoing issue for them.
