Hotel De La Cathedrale

This was our 2nd stay at this beautiful hotel as it was well worth a return visit. It is located directly opposite the fabulous Cathedral and the decor is like Louis XlV - so lavish. It is ideal for visiting the lndoor Market and quaint little pubs round about. Love it!

Nous sommes très déçus par cet hôtel. Son point fort est l'emplacement. Sinon,il n'y a absolument pas l'aspect cocooning auquel on pourrait s'attendre en voyant les photos. Les chambres standard pour nous sont assez joliment décorées mais le dessus de lit était usé, la clime réversible ne marchait pas, le salon et la terrasse sont minuscules. Nous étions à l'annexe, 3 ème sans ascenseur, immeuble ancien rénové, bon petit déjeuner. Personnel agréable mais pas vraiment professionnel.

Older building, close to cathedral and market area

Ein schönes, zentrales Hotel, sehr gut, im diese tolle Stadt zu erkunden, besonders während der Constellation.

Accueil très moyen par une personne peu professionnelle pendue a son telephone mais néanmoins charmante.
Elle a été ensuite remplacée par des personnes très professionnelle et serviables.
L’hôtel est très bien placé . Confortable. Les petits déjeuners sont délicieux .
Attention, pas d’ascenseur et le troisième étage dispose d’escaliers «  casse gueule »

Stayed one night. Nice room in the annex. Windows was able to block most of the noise from the street . Be aware of the stairs hence no elevator. Pillows a bit too thick / high for our personal liking. Bed good. Breakfast was very nice too.

Beaucoup de charme dans cet hôtel traditionnel excellement situé. Parking très pratique non loin de l'hôtel pour une grande ville comme Metz.

This hotel is located in the heart if the city. The staff were awesome. Old city charm and newer upgrades. There is not an elevator so be prepared for stairs. We would stay again.

Un hôtel agréable avec un accueil sans chichi.
La chambre et la salle de bain sont spacieuses et le lit confortable.

Dommage que la poubelle de la salle de bain n'ait pas été vidée à l'arrivée et que le ferme porte de la porte du couloir la fasse claquer très fort à chaque passage.

Absolutely best location in Metz. Parking can be tricky if driving larger vehicle. Park at Theatre parking if youve got suv. Charming atmosphere .

Hôtel avec décoration d'époque, très romantique avec tout confort.
Sa situation plein centre, face à la cathédrale est idéale pour visiter Metz.
De plus, un tarif préférentiel est prévu pour le parking public a deux pas.

Beautiful time at the Cathedral Hotel! Wonderful experience from the breakfast to the leusurely walks around the city center. Alked and the staff were so helpful & friendly. Absolutely made it a perfect trip to Metz!

I enjoyed the stay however they didn't give me any information on Wi-Fi (until I had to ask.. he just put the PW in my cell🙄) and it was a bit musty in the room.

It’s a very well located hotel. It’s an old building so it has no elevator, so you need to carry your luggage up to 3 floors (like in my case). Since it’s an old building as I said , the steps of the stairs get narrow at the top, without luggage it’s not bad, carrying the luggage gets tricky. It was the most limited breakfast of my trip in the 11 hotels I stayed this time, but still satisfying.

Das Frühstück war fantastisch. Frisch gepresster Orangensaft, frische Obstauswahl (Trauben, Melone, Kiwi, Ananas, Pfirsich, Erdbeeren,...), tolles Brot, Aufstriche - TOP!
Zimmer war sehr schön. Leider ließen sich die Geräusche der Klimaanlage nicht beseitigen (trotz Ausschalten). Man war bemüht dies zu regeln. Leider vergeblich. Zimmertausch wäre möglich gewesen, aber mit Umständen verbunden. Preisnachlass fiel kleiner aus als vorgeschlagen und erwartet, war aber zumindest vorhanden.
Lage, Frühstück, Personal, Zimmer waren toll - daher kommen wir gerne wieder (und die Klimaanlage wird bis dahin wohl repariert sein).
