Our stay was extremely disappointing, mainly because of how the hotel handled a problem that could easily have been avoided.

I had booked two double rooms with breakfast. The night before arrival, I contacted the hotel through Booking.com to confirm this, and they confirmed it in writing.

Despite this, upon arrival we were told that breakfast was included for only two people and that we would have to pay for the others. When I pointed out the hotel's written confirmation, I was told that another clerk had replied to me.

After a long journey, I asked simply to be given the rooms and said we could discuss the matter later. The receptionist responded that she “didn't care” and told me I had “no manners.” I asked to speak to the manager and said I wanted to cancel. We were eventually told that the manager had been contacted and that we could stay and have breakfast.

The following morning, while having breakfast, we were told that breakfast had finished and that we had to leave. Even the half-full bottle of water I had taken was challenged, despite breakfast supposedly having finished.

My daughter was also bitten by an insect during the night. I reported this to reception and asked them to treat the room and whether they had anything for pain relief. We were simply told to go to a pharmacy.

At check-out, I spoke to the manager about the receptionist's comments. She attributed them to language difficulties. Perhaps “no manners” could be explained by a language misunderstanding, but “I don't care” needs very little interpretation.

The main issue was not the breakfast itself, but the written confirmation being contradicted, the way the matter was handled and the dismissive attitude of the staff. A real pity, as the hotel has potential but is very badly managed.

The rooms themselves were acceptable, but overall the experience was very disappointing. I would recommend keeping all communication with the hotel in writing.

Uitzicht was niet fantastisch ( op het dak van het winkelcentrum) maar we hadden ook zelf gevraagd om een kamer op een lage verdieping. Als je iets verder zicht wilt hebben beter een kamer hoger in het gebouw. ( receptie op begane grond, restaurant op de eerste, kamers op 3 en hoger)

The parking associated with the hotel is public and there is no visible link between the parking and the reception, especially for the check-in.

A small point and a typically English comment 😂where were the English breakfast tea bags! We don’t all drink coffee and Earl Grey is not the choice for breakfast.

Would prefer a double bed not two singles pushed together
Wash basin should be in the bathroom

QR codes frequently referred to for the hotel facilities which may not be very user friendly for many guests. SMART rooms again may not suit everybody but for us not a major inconvenience. Located right next to a central station exposes you to unfortunate people sleeping rough & begging outside & near the hotel.
