Hotel Pasión de Luna

Stunning hotel with beautiful pools and incredible views! Great breakfast and excellent (though limited) dinner options. Huge rooms - balcony has sweeping bay views, jacuzzi tub, day bed, and hammock - spent so much time out here. Some renovation going on but no noise and didn't detract from our stay at all. Perfect hotel for 2-3 night stay. Walking distance to beaches of Puerto Angel, and easy taxi ride to Zipolite, etc. from main road.

This was a beautiful stay. The large room with full balcony overlooking the ocean was the best stay we have ever had. The beds were hard but hotel decor in room, balcony and all of property was unique.
Some issues with minimal hot water and many steps to and 3 pools but all overlooked due to tranquility of stay. Staff, Alfredo at front desk and Pedro, manager and in kitchen were very accommodating. The walk up and down the hills t get to the beach was arduous, particularly at days end but still manageable. Short ride to other town Zipolite and Mazunta to see other beaches and bigger towns for shopping. we definitely felt special staying there for our first time

The hotel is just a must see, and beautifully placed on the hillside above the bay. The staff are attentive, warm and welcoming~ not to mention that they went out of their way to make our stay here exceptional. The garden grounds are beautiful. The pools are cool, refreshing, with beautiful views of the bay. The architecture is unlike anywhere else that we have stayed. It is truly exceptional and well worth the price. There were 15 staff members during our stay~ and we made sure that everyone of them received a tip. Please remember the living wage in Oaxaca is low~ it is the second poorest state in all of Mexico. If you can please be generous~ it is all the staff that make such a place possible.

This is a beautiful property. The architecture is superb and the staff were wonderful, especially Ana in the Restaurant and Alfredo in reception. The on-line photos don't really do it justice. There is a surprise around every corner. Beautiful pools and the waterfall is amazing.

The hotel is very very nice. The rooms are amazing and the stuff is very friendly especially Alfredo he was very helpful inside and outside hotel. Giving us advice and recommendations from transportation to tings to do around the area. Definitely we will come back to this place and we do recommend this place

The staff was incredible! Someone checked in with me a week before my trip to ask if we had dietary restrictions or any special needs. Alfredo at the front desk was very helpful, but the restaurant staff was our favorite. Ana helped us with so much and her service was impeccable. Juan and Eban in the restaurant we great and one of the housekeepers went out of her way and took care of my laundry before I left the hotel.

Great service, but hotel was in poor shape and dirty. Pool side trash left on the ground, shower only a drizzle of water, no blackout curtains (light from restaurant and natural light shining through), no functional safe, and no hot water for the jacuzzi.

BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY!! The staff is so friendly and the food is AMAZING!! Not gonna lie, the road up is a bit sketchy and I was a bit uneasy going up. However, the hotel is amazing. Views are amazing and the staff is always checking up on you in person or via WhatsApp. Definitely recommend!

This hotel swallowed our hearts! We are IN LOVE, the location, and the hotel itself is a work of art! The staff is so kind, exceptionally accommodating & friendly. The vibes & the view - I'm serious, one of the best MOST RELAXING and photogenic spots on earth. Rent a car so you can bop around and explore, the area is very safe & easy.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pasion de Luna! We stayed here for the last 3 nights of our vacation to Oaxaca and it was perfect for a quiet, relaxing end to our trip. The area is not so exciting, though the nearest beach, Playa Panteon, is very nice. It is a short taxi ride to Zipolite. There were few guests staying here, and work on the hotel continues, as it is not quite finished. So not only did we have an incredible room and terrace, but we had most of the beautiful property to ourselves during our stay. And the property is INCREDIBLE. The artistic details of every surface, every corner, are simply astounding. The staff made us feel very valued and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of- true VIP service! They even helped us make the most of our last day by driving us to the market in Huatulco before taking us to the airport- this allowed us to pick up some gifts and not worry about our luggage. We will be back! Thank you!!

Amazing sprawling, fantasy-like property (Mexico craft meets Gaudi), with multiple pools, a deck ready for a party or wedding, up the hill from a lovely, friendly sleepy fishing beach or a short car ride from a larger, more hippy-touristy beach. Rooms were large; ours with a tub on the deck overlooking the beach. Hotel staff, especially manager, were wonderful, accommodating and informative. Breakfast, included, was great.

We booked into this hotel based on photos, a few very good recommendations and the fact that it was “new”. We arrived to a hotel with a staff of one, a restaurant that served only breakfast, a tacky room and basically a hotel under construction. The bar at the pool was closed and in disarray, the pools were small and unusually situated and only marginally clean. We were not given any info or beach towels and when we went back up and down the crazy multiple staircases to find Angelo, he was nowhere to be found. I finally found a supply closet and went in and got towels. The hotel felt deserted. One of the two buildings was totally being worked on, ladders everywhere, I now think this was an old hotel that someone bought and then simply bought hundreds of gallons of white paint and covered every wall and rooftop and thought that was a renovation. The quilt on the bed was stained, the pillows tacky and we left after one night.

Passion De Luna is a one of a kind paradise located in Puerto Ángel right in the middle between Huatulco and Puerto Escondido. This place wows you with its amazing architecture, design and every little detail in its amazing rooms. The views are incredible from every point in this property. Starting from your room to their dining areas and their relaxing pools. Whether you are watching the sun rise or the sun set you will be in complete awe from any of the many viewpoints in the hotel.

The only thing better than their spectacular rooms, views and pools is their genuine and wonderful customer care and service.

I can not go on enough about how amazing they took care of me and my girlfriend throughout our stay. Since the second we stepped into the property we were treated like family. And throughout our stay we were completely taken care of and checked in with to see if we had any requests, questions or needs that were not met.

I also work in the service industry and I can tell you that I have never received better attention and care in any other place of business than I have at Passion De Luna.

Every room is individually designed, made with natural materials from the local area, and complementing the beautiful bay in Puerto Angel.
We got personal attention from Doña Mari, the owner and designer. All personnel are locals and are courteous and helpful, putting guests first.
My partner and I are already planning our return trip next Christmas season!

This hotel is an amazing experience. It’s Greek and Moroccan architecture with amazing detail of shells and beautiful wood carvings. The views are spectacular. Truly a unique experience.

Our room and terrace was beautiful. The breakfast was a real treat. Gorgeous views and fantasy feel.
The property does need a sign with its name. The road going up to the property was very rough.

We just left Pasión de Luna and I couldn't wait to give it the most high praise review I've ever given any establishment! We stayed here for the first 4 days of our honeymoon and we couldn't have felt more special, pampered, relaxed, and taken care of.

The staff is incredibly kind and went above and beyond for us to make our honeymoon absolutely perfect and memorable for the rest of our lives. I don't even want to tell you everything they did because it was just surprise after surprise and I don't want to ruin it for you!

The hotel is absolutely gorgeous, it has been under construction for over 11 years and only open 5 months ago and you can tell all the heart and pasión that has gone into it's construction. Every little detail shows their love!

The staff at eception was there for us at every turn, and truly redefined hospitality. The chef made us one of the most spectacular dinners we've ever had (get the lobster!) And the owner was a joy to meet and get to know. Not only did we feel like honored guests, by the time we left we were sad to leave our new friends.

We've traveled all over the world and this was probably the best hotel experience we've ever had! Gracias por todos!!
