Hyatt Centric Charlotte SouthPark

The front desk team is truly exceptional. I have spent a significant amount of time at this property, and every member of the team remembers me by name, which creates such a warm and welcoming experience.

The rooms are outstanding, with some of the most comfortable beds, pillows, and linens I have experienced anywhere. As someone who travels five days a week and spends a tremendous amount of time in hotels, that level of comfort matters, and this property consistently delivers.

I absolutely love everything about this hotel: the incredible gym, outstanding food, beautiful accommodations, and convenient location. The attention to detail and genuine hospitality set it apart from so many other properties.

Given the choice, I would stay here over many luxury hotels without hesitation. This property has become one of my absolute favorites, and I highly recommend it to both business and leisure travelers.

It was okay. Hotel was clean and newer. Checking in staff was not the friendliest. Valet and parking situation was annoying especially with the extra $15 cost required for valet. Cars blocked the front during rain, was very difficult to get luggage out. Nobody asked if I wanted help. Breakfast quality was not worth the price paid. I booked through AMEX Travel and did not get my Hyatt points.

I had an excellent stay at the Hyatt Centric SouthPark Charlotte. What stood out most was the front desk team. They were courteous, but not in the generic, scripted way you sometimes expect at hotels. They were genuinely attentive, proactive, and thoughtful in the moment.

For example, when I asked if they had something cold to drink, like water or soda, they did not just hand me one bottle and move on. They walked over, grabbed one, and then asked how many I would like. It was a small gesture, but it showed they recognized I had just arrived tired and thirsty, and they were actually paying attention to what I needed.

Another example: when I ordered DoorDash, the front desk called and asked whether I would like the food delivered directly to my room. That was a huge difference compared with another upscale hotel I had recently stayed at, where I was told I had to come downstairs to pick up my food even after specifically asking if it could be brought up. Hyatt Centric handled it the way a guest would actually hope a hotel would.

Even better, when my food arrived, the staff noticed there were no utensils. Rather than waiting for me to discover that and make a separate trip or call downstairs, they proactively included utensils because they said DoorDash often forgets them. That kind of forward thinking stood out to me. It showed that the staff were putting themselves in the guest’s position and anticipating what would make the stay easier.

That is the number one reason I will continue coming back to Hyatt Centric SouthPark. I originally planned to stay only one night, but ended up staying four. I even drove a bit out of my way to return for the fourth night because I liked the hotel that much.

Beyond the customer service, the room itself was exactly what I look for: clean, well maintained, modern, and consistent with the expected brand standard. Towels, soaps, supplies, and room upkeep all felt orderly and properly managed. The valet team was also very pleasant and made the arrival and departure process easy and turnkey — no pun intended.

One front desk associate in particular — an Asian gentleman whose name I unfortunately did not catch — was especially helpful. He had a genuinely warm, accommodating demeanor that did not feel forced or overly scripted. He came across as sincerely pleasant, professional, and attentive. I hope management is able to identify him because he deserves specific credit for helping make the stay feel so welcoming.

Overall, this hotel delivered the kind of experience that makes the cost feel justified. Clean property, well-kept rooms, excellent staff, and service that actually anticipates what guests need. I would absolutely stay here again.

I had the absolute pleasure of being assisted by Reese at the Hyatt Hotel in SouthPark, and I just had to take a moment to express my gratitude.

After a very long and exhausting morning meeting after meeting , I was honestly running on empty — but Reese completely turned my day around. From the moment I arrived, she was incredibly attentive, kind, and genuinely present. What stood out the most was her energy — she was so warm, so positive, and you could tell she truly enjoys what she does.

It’s rare to come across someone who not only does their job well, but also makes people feel seen and cared for in the process. Reese did exactly that. Her attitude, her professionalism, and her bright spirit made such a difference for me in that moment.

Hyatt is lucky to have her, and I’m truly grateful for the experience she gave me. Thank you, Reese, for your kindness — you really made my day better.

The Hyatt Centric SouthPark Charlotte is our favorite place to stay. The location is perfect, the rooms are always clean, and the staff is consistently friendly and welcoming.
