I’m disappointed. Not horrible but wouldn’t stay at this location again or recommend to anybody.
Pros:

The space in the bathroom and variance in snack and beverages were great. We were glad there were streaming services. We did get an upgrade on our room upon arrival which was nice.

Cons:

The power went out in our room before we checked out the next morning. We didn’t have any working lights in our bathroom and the wall sockets stopped working. This was after using a steamer provided by the hotel and charging a phone - nothing crazy. We asked for an extra blanket to be brought to the room and they said yes on the phone and then didn’t bring one, saying they had no extra blankets in the hotel only sheets. There were no throw blankets in the suite. We had just come in from the storm and would have been nice. They would not let the Uber Eats driver bring our food up to our room even with our explicit approval, and also refused to bring it to us. We have to walk downstairs to get it in the middle of the night after hours of driving.

It was 4th and we could watch the fireworks from our room and the boats pass by

The fleeting is always exceptional!

The convenience of restaurants on property.

Cons:

The fact that they are tooooo dog friendly. The upgraded room I had smelt like a wet dog! I couldn’t sleep or get comfortable at all. I asked the front desk if they have designated rooms for dogs and she said no, but if you have an allergy they can do a deep clean. Grossed out and unfortunately, that’s was our last stay at that property.

Housekeeping does not come everyday, pool was dirty because of the holiday. But it needs to be scrubbed everywhere.

Beautiful location
Pros:

The place was well appointed and the staff was pretty friendly. Loved the overall vibe of the hotel and its proximity to everything.

Cons:

The property oversold the room type i originally booked and that was a disappointing experience. While they did try ro recover the issue. It still was not the full experience.

We will be back.
Pros:

The Thompson has a great location away from the tourist section, but completely walkable to the area. Great place to start and end a run. We love the view from the rooftop bar and watching the container ships and tugboats pass by.

Cons:

The gym area wasn't as clean as the rest of the hotel. It was messy and unkempt. We would like a coffee machine in the room instead of going down the stairs.

Luxury feel for good value
Pros:

Really liked the location, a little bit of a walk to downtown, but the riverwalk was a lovely way to get there! “Rooftop”-ish pool was beautiful at night.

Cons:

Wish there would have been a hot tub, but otherwise no complaints!

I had a wonderful time, and Melania the driver was wonderful and knowledgeable of the restaurants
Pros:

The location was great for everything I wanted to do, also the free car service was great.

Cons:

I ordered breakfast to my room and did not receive ketchup or cream or Splenda that I asked for.
