It was nice, but the road construction noise was terrible

The location, although there was massive street construction going on and we were awakened at 7:30am with jack hammering. They should never start that early

We would love to stay there again.
Pros:

The staff was amazing, they were friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar were very good with super service and delicious food and drinks. Great location, short walk to the river, very close to the tram stops, shopping and restaurants.

Cons:

We were there during a heat wave. Though the hotel listed as having air conditioning, it wasn't really air conditioning. It was explained to me that they run cold water through pipes in the wall. Didn't really work, but a fan was provided and the windows opened.

Pros:

Es un hotel muy bonito con terraza y buen restaurante, la atención es magnífica especialmente de Sebastien en la recepción, la verdad una gran atención y comunicación entre el equipo

Cons:

El agua es muy caliente en las duchas, ponerlo a frío completamente no la pone fría de verdad. Si vienes del gimnasio no es cómodo. Tampoco había aire acondicionado en el gimnasio en ese momento. Y por último las obras en la plaza, no es posible dormir hasta tarde, pero avanzan pronto

super Lage - nur enttäuscht, dass mein Zimmerwunsch nicht erfüllt wurde & keine Parkmöglichkeit.
Cons:

Ich hatte speziell bei der Reservation darauf hingewiesen, dass ich ein Zimmer auf die Eisengasse wünsche. Leider wurde meinem Wunsch nicht entsprochen. Ich weiss nicht, warum dies nicht möglich war, zumal ich die Reservation bereits am 28.11.2025 erfolgte (zusätzlich habe ich telefonisch nochmals darum gebeten!). Ich hoffe zuversichtlich, dass mein Wunsch, ein Zimmer auf die Eisengasse zu erhalten, bei meinem nächsten Besuch (14.-15.2.2027) erfüllt wird; zumal ich die Zimmer bereits gestern (19.7.2026 bezahlt habe. Keine Parkmöglichkeit!

Sehr zufrieden, wir kommen gerne wieder - Basel gut gelegenes Hotel direkt am Marktplatz
Pros:

Perfekte Lage direkt am Marktplatz, man kann durch die Altstadt laufen alles in ein paar Geminuten. Vom Checkin bis zum Schluss einfach perfekt. Freundlicher checkin, ausgiebiges gutes Frühstück, modernes und stillsicher Design-Einrichtung im Zimmer. Sehr schön Zimmer 403, können wir wirklich empfehlen. Am Abend bei schönem Wetter den Schlumi direkt vor dem Hotel - was will man mehr. Wir kommen wieder wenn wir in Basel sind. DANKE 👌

Cons:

Zimmer 403 wäre grossartig eine weiter Handtuchhalterung an der Wand :-)

Dejligt ophold i Basel, hvor vores datter er flyttet til
Pros:

Meget centralt beliggende hotel i Basel.
Vi fik et dejligt værelse, stort, rent og nydeligt indrettet. Vær obs på at nogle værelser har 2 trin ned/op. Intet problem for os.
Værelser lå roligt og med aircondition.
Der er minibar som fyldes op dagligt med vand, juice , cola, chips og chokolade uden beregning.
Dejlig morgenmad, og vi spiste også 1 gang i restauranten om aftenen. Også dejlig mad og god betjening.
Vi kommer helt klart igen.

Alt var fint.
