One of the best hotels in Basal
Pros:

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Firstly the hotel is in excellent condition, new refit, beautiful interior, and well designed. Every comfort has been thought about, for example 3 different types of pillows as standard (one being memory foam), everything in the room- fridge is free, the rooms are large, the closet is open in design, shower perfect.
Finally the service => it’s just as good as the hotel. Special shout out to Samuel and the team, they helped with every request and they were perfectly coordinated, which meant I didn’t have to start a request from the beginning each time.

Please note we did have a small negative incident, but the hotel team should professionalism, and I still felt very much looked after.

Well Done hotel Marthof, I will visit again soon. Keep up the effort, it’s working!

Magnifique hôtel au centre de la ville avec rooftop pour les clients de l’hôtel.
Pros:

L’emplacement, équipement moderne dans les chambres, très bon petit déjeuner

Cons:

Dommage qu’il n’y ait pas de rideaux de jour dans les chambres. On avait l’impression d’être en vitrine donnant sur la place centrale.

The absolutely perfect place to stay for a day or a few in Basel
Pros:

I absolutely loved hotel. It is right at the center of the city and everything is a very short walking distance. The room had a giant vanity mirror. The breakfast had plenty of options which is absolutely fantastic when you have a young child.

The hotel front desk were an absolute gem in assisting me with directions and cab and luggage requests. They were truly welcoming and hospitable and I am so thankful for that.

We didn't have time to explore the hotel amenities - the restaurant, the gym, the spa. The front desk recommended also a sun terrace. We will definitely check them out next time when we are in town.

Cons:

Housekeeping did not do a good job in cleaning the room because they didn't, at all. They just restocked the minifridge and didn't bother to collect the trash or the empty soda bottles or to make the best.

The breakfast staff were not so polite towards my son when it comes to the free chocolate for guests. They could have handled their request to my son better. Especially because the situation was pertaining to a free chocolate that every guest gets and not anything special at all.

Pros:

The location was excellent but the service and the attentive personnel at the front desk was very accommodating and super helpful . It is Easter and they gave us the best and most delicious chocolates before heading out to our Amawaterway Crusise in Basel . Thank you for a Wonderful stay🌷 will be recommending the hotel .
