Pros:

The Orchid is amazing—such a wonderful and friendly staff. They are so professional, always courteous and smiling. The rooms are big and really well-designed. The restaurant is super, and the breakfast buffet was just awesome.

The terrace is even better—the whole view in front of the hotel, huge terrace, the swimming pool, the SPA services, and the rooftop restaurant. We enjoyed everything about the hotel.

We were 4 couples, had 4 rooms 4 nights, with friends. First thing that you experience is the wonderful team of staff, right from front desk to F&B, housekeeping, all were courteous, helpful, went out of way to see we were happy. Food was great, we had about 5 meals (besides breakfast), it is priced reasonably, service attentive, they customised dishes as per our liking. Breakfast spread was good, they also prepared and served items which were not in buffet. Heating was comfortable. Would like to stay at same property when we go to shimla again!
