Great hotel, dodgy check-in practices.
Pros:

Large rooms, comfortable beds and pillows, decent sized tv with streaming.

Cons:

I checked in very late (2am, so I was exhausted) and the person who checked me in "upgraded" me without my permission to a room with a balcony. I was charged more per night without agreeing to the upgrade, I had no need for a balcony, and the balcony door let a lot of ambient noise (especially the ubiquitous car-honking) around the clock.

Voldoende maar niet geweldig.

In orde. Staf en personeel vriendelijk en ze doen hun best.

Cons:

Zeer luidruchtige locatie. Terrasdeuren sluiten niet goed af. Sommige kamers hebben renovatie nodig want ze zijn gebruikt als appartement.

Service So Good It Should Be on the Menu
Pros:

Had a cracking stay at the Taj Wellington in Chennai;but let’s be honest, whilst the building’s lovely… the staff are the real five-star feature. Warm, attentive, and somehow always one step ahead without ever being over the top. By day two they made me feel less like a guest and more like a mildly spoiled regular. If they could bottle that level of hospitality, they’d make a fortune. Would happily stay again.

Cons:

Could benefit from a choice of restaurants. Internet speeds are just about ok…but that’s true of most of India.
