Good times- recommend getting a Cabana at the water park.
Went to the Manteca location. The atmosphere was amazing! The rooms were clean and decorated nicely we got the room with the kids bunk bed/room, my daughter loved it! The staff were so nice and professional. The waterpark was a perfect size to tackle in a day or 2! I would definitely recommend getting the wolf pass for your kiddos, my daughter used nearly everything! Some things were pricey while other things are a good value but there are options and tiers, food was reasonably price and absolutely delicious. I would say very affordable over all. Would definitely recommend the breakfast package and get there well before 9am for breakfast, we got there at 8:30ish and walked right in ☺️ and right after us there was a huge line but the workers were able to bring it down quick! Again, the staff were all so polite. We even witnessed someone having a medical emergency and the staff were very quick to give them aid and other staff blocked off the area holding towels to be discrete and not scare the kids. The emergency vehicle came quick and the person was stabalized by what I believe were the lodge staff by the time emt got there. It was a great display of professionalism and customer service. Would definitely recommend. We came on a Friday through Saturday.
Arrived at 4pm for check in. It took longer than expected (about an hour wait) but when I asked the young woman at the counter for an update she was very quick to communicate with the cleaning crew and also gave me a $50 dining credit, which was very considerate of her and came in handy the next two mornings at the Dunkin Donuts downstairs.
The room was very comfortable and clean. I always bring my own amenities and toiletries but they had shampoo/conditioner and shower gel as well. The Wi-Fi was spotty for a minute but my daughter unplugged the router, plugged it back in, and it worked perfectly the rest of the trip.
The indoor waterpark was a blast. We stayed there from 10am until about 6pm, and the location is conveniently right next to Costco so we chose to go to their food court rather than a restaurant in the lodge (but the food smelled amazing so next time we’ll have to try it.
All in all it was great. Zero complaints.
It was a fun trip. We faced a few issues. One was there were no breakfast items that were gluten free from Dunkin Donuts before 10am.
Another issue was the ridiculous loud neighbors who were screaming and yelling and slamming doors until 10:30PM. I understand that quiet hours are at 11 but it was super rude to be that loud at any time of the day or night.
My first experience with GWL was at the Scottsdale location. It was a 10 out of 10 experience. Absolutely perfect. The San Francisco location however was not as good. It was much much more crowded, dirtier, especially the bathrooms and changing rooms. They kept getting dirtier and dirtier as the day went on. I don’t think anyone was cleaning them. We also could not find a table to eat our lunch because all the tables were taken up by single people with tons of bags. No one was eating there, they were just using the tables to store their belongings rather than pay for a locker I think. That was very frustrating and I wish someone was supervising the area and not allowing people to sit there if they weren’t eating. I didn’t experience this in Arizona. The positives though is that all the workers are extremely nice and helpful. I love the convenience of the restaurants and being able to pay with your wrist band. It was rainy so the outdoor pool wasn’t being used which probably contributed to the overcrowding. We were also very disappointed we had to pay $20 for parking. I don’t understand this at all. There is a gigantic parking lot so they don’t need to save space and there’s also literally no other way you can get there besides driving since it’s so far out. So it just feels unfair that they’re making an extra $20 off every reservation after we’ve already paid a lot to get in. Despite these negative things, I will still give GWL another try since my kids absolutely love the wave pool. I just hope they can make a few minor changes like more attention to cleanliness and more supervision to keep things orderly. Then it would be a perfect experience.
Our entire family had a great time we will be visiting again!
Overall we had a great fun spending our kids spring break at great wolf lodge. This was our 9th time coming here and its always a memorable and fun experience. From their staffs, accommodation and food it was great. Prolly, coming back on summer again.
This was a short and amazing trip for us. Everything was awesome!
It was a very pleasant experience, The room was clean and comfortable. My family went on a Thursday night and checked out of our room on Friday morning, we stashed our bags in our vehicles and carried the bare minimum into the water park and were able to grab a row of chairs & claim them with our own personal towels draped over them, I highly recommend checking out what Great Wolf Lodge Manteca has to offer your Family!
Kush was outstanding! she was super polite and helpful with the menu when i was ordering and was incredibly attentive to me during my time there at the barnwood! her customer service skills are impeccable! i will definitely be returning! thank you so much!
I’ve stayed at the great wolf lodge with my family for two days and, beside the obvious many hours in the acqua park, we’ve made use of the bowling, minigolf and climbing course multiple times. The experience was just great. All the personnel at the front desk was courteous and helpful but I want to make a special shout out for Tyler who effectively and rapidly fixed the bowling hiccups multiple times while juggling extremely long lines at the front desk. He’s a skilled multi tasker that to my opinion would make any employers proud to count him among their crews.
It was a first time my family made an overnight trip, it was only 2 hour drive from our home, great location and fun atmosphere when you walk in, i had a gift card so I chose to check in at the front desk instead of the kiosk. It was quite a bit of the wait but the staff was super friendly and accommodating. We checked in around 1130a and went straight to the water park. I didn't really like that we had to wait till close to 4pm to get our room. We got a text around 315p when it was ready. ( I have a 2 yr old that fell asleep on me while at the water park before we got the room ) The room was very nice and clean, exactly how it looked on the website we were on the 4th floor with a good view of the parking lot and front of the lodge. We changed and my family went back down to enjoy the package we bought which was the ultimate food and fun package, we tried to do as much as we could to get the best value out of it. Rope course, the bowling, and the mirror maze were alot of fun. We missed out with the mini golf and we didn't participate in the magic quest. It was nice to have 100 credit in food service, we ended up getting pizza from the pizza place in the lodge to eat in our room. We had fun during the dance party, the staff created a fun atmosphere for my 5 and 2 yr old. During the night it was very quiet, there were signs posted to keep noise level low after 11p... I barely heard people walking down the halls. The next day we did the breakfast buffet and the options were amazing! I wish I could have eaten more than I did. I tried a little of everything and it was good quality food. We packed up and left room it was nice it did automatic check out so we didn't have to wait in any lines. We spent another few hours at the water park before we changed and took our drive home. Overall it was great Atmosphere and a great experience even though one of my kids got hurt , but the medical staff and employees were so caring and helpful in bandaging him up. It took a few days before they released my incidental $100 hold on my debit card, but thankfully it came through. We definitely would recommend the lodge for those who could afford it. I was able to book with a discount code although the room was pretty pricey for only having access to it from 4pm - 11am (19hrs) which most of it we were out having fun, but I guess thats how it usually is. One day maybe we can return again when my youngest is a bit older.
It was my first time there with my kids, and we had an amazing time! Initially we were there because of the waterpark, but Great Wolfe lodge offer much more attractions. The room looked smaller than on the website, but it was doable. However, My kids had an amazing time, and my 4 year old had an amazing birthday! Definitely would go back!
Great location, very busy with families, room was clean & enough room for the three of us & lots of activities for kids.
Excellent: The cleanliness of the restrooms and hotel rooms have improved since our last visit in 2024. The breakfast buffet was so worth it! We loved the made-to-order omelet bar, ham, cereal, pastries, and fresh fruits! David was thorough and helpful. We saw how hard the maintenance and housekeeping staff were working to keep the lodge clean. The waterpark staff were all focused and did their best to keep every area safe and the crowd moving. We hope they get enough breaks and hydration while at work. Thank you so much!
Good: The kiosks were actually up and running, which made checking in a breeze! The pizza and salads also improved. The burgers at Buckets were fine. We appreciate the fresh and soft buns.
Just OK: The fries at Buckets tasted a bit stale and were hardly touched by the fam. The biscuits from breakfast was a little dry. My 6yo and I wished that Dunkin Donuts made more plain/glazed donut holes more than the jelly ones. We stopped by 15-20 minutes before closing and they ran out, but there were plenty of jelly and blueberry donut holes.
Overall, we were happy to join/get together with our friends for spring break. We will be back!
Tip: Bring your own pillows!
We recently stayed at Great Wolf Lodge Manteca for a spring break family trip, and overall it was a fun and memorable experience—especially for the kids.
The highlight of the trip was definitely the indoor water park. The water is warm, the slides are exciting, and there are plenty of options for different age groups. My kids had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave. Many families say their kids “loved the two days at the water park,” which we completely agree with.
The resort is very family-friendly with lots of activities beyond swimming, like arcade games, MagiQuest, and evening events. It’s nice that everything is in one place, so you don’t have to leave the property.
The rooms were comfortable and generally clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful during our stay. Overall, guests often rate the experience as “very good,” with strong scores in amenities and service.
That said, there are a few downsides. The biggest issue is the cost—food, activities, and extras add up quickly, and many guests feel it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. The resort can also get very crowded, especially on weekends, which means long lines and limited seating.
Another thing to note is that while cleanliness is usually good, some guests have reported inconsistencies, and service can vary depending on how busy it is.
Everything was great! Customer service, the stay and all slides and games were open & working. The food was good and the prices of everything is very reasonable and affordable.
We had an awesome time!!!! My grandkids enjoyed every second from the swimming to the event's. We were a party of 6 and we had the Din room and it was enough room.
Great experience at this location
Great experience as always. I was able to check in a few hours early.
