A hotel with glorious views
Pros:

This hotel is in the most stunning position - we were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the town and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. The room was beautifully appointed and very spacious.
My only observation was that the funicular down to the town was not operating. We knew this before arrival but it would have been so convenient if it had been, as parking in the Old Town is very difficult especially as we had a roof box and the subterranean car parks were not tall enough to accommodate our car.
Heidelberg is a beautiful city.

Pros:

Best view of Heidelberg from above the clouds. Restaurant was great. Breakfast was even better. A real joy to stay here. Short distance from Frankfurt so a perfect place to stop after a long flight.

Cons:

Unfortunately the mountain tram is closed for maintenance in March so we could not use it to get to the city. Arrive by car is the best way there.

Pros:

Nous avons passé un séjour formidable, le lieu est très romantique et le personnel très gentil.

Cons:

L'humidité était particulièrement forte pendant notre séjour, et il nous est arrivé de voir des poissons d'argent (petits insectes innofensifs), c'est la nature. Le personnel a été très compréhensible et nous a changé de chambre tout de suite.

Pros:

Mooie kamer met heel mooi uitzicht. Lekker ontbijt.

Cons:

Jammer dat het 'bergtreintje"' in gedeelte van maart 2026 in onderhoud is. Dat had het nog specialer gemaakt. Treintje rijd van hotel tot vlakbij het centrum van Heidelberg.

breakfast is soooo expensive
Pros:

one employee on reception disk is soo gloomy he is about 60 years old. i think its better to hide him in interior office and dont expose him to clients. really he is so polite but he is nervous and cant speak english.

Als prijs niet bepalend is, dan is dit een top locatie met zeer goed personeel!
Pros:

Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid, maar zo ingericht dat bederving niet snel voorkomt. Je kunt van brood, vegetarisch en tot yoghurt alles vinden.

Cons:

Tja dit is lastig te beschrijven er was helemaal niets om te zeuren. En geen punt ter verbetering maar, als je in het restaurant eet let op, het zijn geen kinderachtige porties. Maar super lekker!
