The Hallways when you come off the elevator and heading to your room on the 3rd floor almost gave off a cigarette smell. Not sure if its the heating something. Its wasn't strong but noticeable to me

I don't really know where to start...
When I arrived at the hotel, despite being encouraged to check in online and use a keycard on my phone, I was treated with suspicion from a very rude member of staff who made me prove I had a booking because 'they can't just have anyone walking in'... Yet later that day when I was waiting for the lift and a very dodgy-looking, very inebriated man was lingering behind me and my daughter, nobody thought to check that he was a guest at the hotel. I decided not to go in the lift while he was there because something felt off and as soon as we walked away from the lift - so did he, which makes it even more worrying.
We were on the first floor and our room was directly above a very noisy bar. I rang to see if it would be possible to be moved because I had my child with me. The person I spoke to practically scoffed and said no, they're full (he clearly hadn't checked). That night I got hardly any sleep between the noisy bar and sirens. Didn't help that the 'black out' curtains let in so much light either side.
I was staying 2 nights & was told someone would check if we could move the following day but nobody got back to me. I also tried to contact booking.com about this issue multiple times and am still waiting for a reply almost a week later.
The following afternoon I called again to see if we could move and he said, very rudely, that there were no rooms available and I should've called earlier. I told him that the person I'd spoken to the previous evening said that he would get someone to check for me. He was very argumentative and unhelpful the entire conversation. It wasn't until I spoke about making a complaint that he very reluctantly moved me to a smaller room on the 4th floor (which I didn't mind as long as it was quieter).

Central location - however long walk from non private car parks if you are driving.
Open doors at night, lots of rowdy loud people and key card NOT required to enter room areas. Luckily we were all in one room, I wouldn’t stay here with family again. I’ve stayed at similar rating hotels and this didn’t feel close. Worst part was being asked to settle a £149 bill that I didn’t incur, may of been an honest mistake but made me feel uncomfortable and less trustful.

The hydrotherapy at the spa was a nice affordable option and I was happy to have laundry service
I enjoyed the breakfast options and hotel amenities
The breakfast area was a little warm the first couple of days which made it a little hard to enjoy a hot beverage. I would also like more gluten free bread options.
Really impressive, fantastic staff
Whilst packing up/getting ready to leave, we found food packets/rubbish that wasn’t ours - not lots - but the room wasn’t as clean as we would have expected

Incroyablement bruyant, visiblement un raison d’un concert situé … dans l’hôtel. On ne paye pas un hôtel de ce calibre pour ne pas pouvoir fermer l’œil à 23h.
