great location great staff could not fault it
nothing
The location is great. I enjoyed the staff.
Some guests were loud but we were fortunate and the hotel staff moved us.
Friendly, informative staff. Loved the "Loft." Rooms were very clean. The waterfall shower was very nice, shower was spacious. Bed was very comfortable, linens were very clean. I will be booking again at this location.
Parking was not free
We had a great stay. The facilities and rooms were modern and clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a real hairdryer (not the kind attached to the wall) and a full length mirror in the room. Staff were helpful and friendly. We made sure to have a drink at the rooftop bar. It wasn’t warm enough to be outside but still a very nice atmosphere.
Our room was on the sixth floor and the room was spacious and quiet. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon so we were able to park at a metered street spot for a couple hours until it became free overnight and Sunday. This was lucky because the adjacent lot and valet options were expensive. We had breakfast at Salt Yard Cafe before heading out and it was quite good. One thing that stood out about this hotel is the Transit Room. It included lockers and a bathroom. Very convenient if you have some time between checkout and your departure (or between arrival and check-in)
You could hear when water was running in the room next door. I thought our toilet was running but that wasn’t where the noise was coming from when I went to check on it. Not a major thing but good to know before you go investigate in the early morning hours like I did.
Property was clean and beds comfortable.
Walking distance to Portland Dock and restaurants!
Th roof top bar was always too crowded to grab a drink.
le lit n'était pas confortable
My Fiancé and I love spending time in Portland and we refuse to stay at any other hotel when we’re there. We’ve stayed at the Canopy a handful of times and our stay is always fantastic. The rooms are kept immaculate and are beautiful, many with some spectacular views of Portland. But the main reason for our love of the Canopy is the outstanding staff. They go above and beyond to make our stay memorable and comfortable. The staff are always friendly and willing to listen to any questions or requests we may have. Shout out to Andrew Peckham who works at the front desk for his extremely warm personality and helpfulness. The rooftop bar is also an excellent food and drink option if you’re looking for a chill late night spot to go to. We can’t recommend this hotel enough and is one of the top places we looked forward to when we travel to Portland.
Had a great stay at Canopy. The location is ideal for exploring the Old Port, and the hotel feels modern, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The rooms were spotless and well appointed, and the staff were genuinely friendly and always one step ahead which really elevated the experience. It is the kind of place that makes Portland feel even better than it already is. Would absolutely stay here again.
Ive been staying at this hotel for two weeks at a time for a year now. Seriously, it is my home away from home, and it is not just the room, or the lobby, or the fabulous restaurants. It is the front office, it is the front desk, it is the bartenders, and the cleaners.
Mostly, it is that whenever issues arise, as they have to arise in any establishment, they are dealt with. Immediately. Someone takes ownership. Someone fixes it. Someone reaches out. Someone actually cares.
And for a hotel of this caliber, which does not usually get business travelers, that is just so unusual that if I could give it more stars I would.
Great location to explore all the best restaurants and shops. Good sizes, comfortable room. Free water.
I am giving only 4 stars because the WiFi wasn’t free unless you were a member and because of the expensive valet parking.
