Rooms were good but facility didn't meet the expectations
Pros:

Its rooms were good with space

Cons:

They don't provide water in rooms they take charge for 1lt water bottle 25 rs and 1lt water bottle charge is 20 rs as well as they don't provide room service like cleaning if you ask for cleaning they take extra charges for that also.

Good to stay.
Pros:

This place is decent to stay. We booked 3 rooms. They were big, spacious and comfortable. They had provided toiletries n towels.
The owner was good and kind.
Parking space available.

Cons:

The washroom could have been cleaner, but was manageable.

**Terrible Experience – Never Booking This Hotel Again!**

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our bus dropped us early, and we had already informed the hotel while booking that we would be arriving before the official check-in time. Their response was that they would do their best to accommodate us. But when we actually arrived, the reception guys casually told us that there was no booking under our name. Seriously? What’s the point of communicating in advance if the hotel can’t even handle this properly?

We had to wait until the owner woke up just to sort things out. We then requested to leave our luggage at the hotel so we could go out and explore until check-in time. Even that was refused, saying they weren’t responsible for our luggage. What kind of hospitality is this?

Finally, they asked us to pay **almost 50% of the regular booking amount just to freshen up and keep our luggage**. And guess what? Even after paying that extra amount, they gave us a used room that was not cleaned at all. It literally felt like walking into a room that someone had just checked out of.

When we finally got our actual room at the official check-in time, the situation wasn’t any better. There were multiple strands of female hair scattered across the floor, and the tables were covered in dust. Basic cleanliness? Absolutely missing!

The fan was another joke. They advertised it as having a speed of 5, but it felt like it was running at speed 1. And the Wi-Fi? Not working at all.

**The worst part is the complete lack of basic hospitality, cleanliness, and customer care.** We understand that early check-in may not always be possible, but at least communicate properly, handle bookings correctly, and maintain clean rooms. Charging extra money and still providing such a poor experience is simply unacceptable.
Overall, a horrible experience from start to finish. Poor booking management, unreasonable extra charges, dirty rooms, a useless fan, and non-working Wi-Fi.

My advice: Think twice before booking Hotel Umaiyyal
