Everything about it the stay!
Very clean and spacious rooms. Hotel itself was very nice and plenty of seating. The pool table and foosball were very nice extras
Only minor things that were disappointing Breakfast was cold and pancake machine didn’t work correctly
Also, there wasn’t a microwave or coffee pot in the room
It was clean for the most part and it was in a good location
The woman that checked me in was rude and gave me a hard time. She asked for the name for my booking and said that she didn’t see anything under that name. She asked was it confirmed, I said yes, and proceeded to show her the confirmation. She then asked for my drivers license and I gave it to her and, again said it wasn’t in the system. She told me that was the reason they don’t like when people use third parties to book such as booking.com because that could happen. After that she asked and I quote “What do you want me to do?” because they didn’t have anymore rooms under Tru and were booked. She then said they had one for Hilton Gardens and had me book for that. What was even worse was the fact that I woke up to a denied charge from Tru by Hilton “the original booking that couldn’t be found”. Once I checked out I mentioned the said charge to a different lady and without me even telling her my name or any info she found it within seconds and canceled the charge which is funny for something that couldn’t be found.
Traveled here with a large group. Rooms were nice, modern, and clean. The hotel itself felt very new and there were quite a few amenities to enjoy outside of your room (pool table, foosball, pool, billiards, golf simulator, board games, etc.). The hotel is located near a lot of shopping/restaurants, which is a positive. Overall, I found it to be a pleasant stay and would return in the future.
Only issue we had was the shower would run out of hot water for a minute or two multiple times while trying to clean up
Bathroom supplies (soap, shampoo....)are important to me whenever I stay in a hotel, and Tru had provided more than enough. They have very nice scent too. I also appreciate the front desk staff, I forgot her name (the one with sunflower tattoo), she is very nice and accommodating. I also like that bacon strips are included in the breakfast.
I don't have anything that I can say that I didn't like.
Good location
Price was high
the Breakfast was complete and fulfilling. Good access to the room.
coffee in the room would be nice and also a microwave for popcorn instead of having to go to the lobby to pop our own popcorn.
I liked the staff & location as well as the cleanliness
Everything was great and wonderful friendly staff clean rooms all of it I would definitely recommend staying here
Very clean facility, nice up to date building, The shower was absolutely amazing. And the little market in the lobby was very nice and convenient. We had to leave very early in the morning, so we didn't get to have breakfast. If I'm back in the area again, i will definitely stay again.
The only thing I didn't like was that I couldn't have gotten a better rate for the few hours we stayed. We were literally only there 5 hours . We didn't get to enjoy the breakfast, or enjoy the room. Because we had to leave at 530am and didn't check in until after midnight. We arrived later than planned because of a road closure on our travel. So the price for a 5 hour stay could have been better.
Breakfast was good, room was clean and spacious, bathroom was big.
Pillows were not great, not very good water pressure in shower.
We booked a room here on the night of March 29. It was just my wife and I and our pet (VA service dog). I asked for a handicap room with no tub. I also asked for a 1st floor room. When we got there the clerk who seemed to have an attitude said the only handicap room was with a tub and on the 2nd floor. Why wasn't I told that at the time of the reservation? When we got to the room it had hard floors throughout (no carpeting at all). When I pulled the sheets back they had a stain on them (looked like some sort of bodily fluid). I ended up sleeping on top of the covers to avoid the stain. There were very little hook ups in the room for our devices. The water out of the bathroom faucet was like pencil thin. No vent in the bathroom so the floor got slick from the condensation. The next morning at checkout I told the lady at the desk about the issues and even showed her a picture of the stain! She said there was nothing she could do about it as the room was booked through expedia so I would have to call them for any compensation. The only reason for 2 stars instead of 1 is the hotel was fairly clean and had a bar and restaurant. I will be contacting Expedia. This is definitely a budget version of a Hilton hotel! For $180.17 definitely not worth it!
