Had a wonderful family vacation,The resort is exceptionally clean and hygienic, with spotless rooms and a well-maintained swimming pool. The staff is courteous, professional, and always helpful. The food was delicious and the entertainment options made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for a relaxing and memorable family getaway…🎉🎊👍
My experience at Radisson Blu Resort Dharamshala was extremely disappointing due to the consistently poor service and lack of professionalism displayed by the staff. Throughout our stay, we had to repeatedly call for basic amenities, including room essentials that should have been provided in advance. The dining experience was equally frustrating—food orders were significantly delayed, and on one occasion, when we ordered two soups, only one arrived while the second took over 20–25 minutes, with the staff having no idea about its status when we followed up. Even a simple tea service arrived without cups, causing further delays. Basic hospitality standards, such as properly arranged cutlery, were overlooked, and the staff appeared poorly trained, uninformed, and lacking a sense of urgency. There was little coordination between departments, no proactive assistance, and almost every request required multiple reminders. For a premium resort carrying the Radisson Blu name, the level of service was far below expectations and significantly impacted our overall experience.
This June, I booked a standard room at a premium rate, expecting a comfortable stay. Instead, I was assigned a room on the ground floor, with a view of nothing but a wall covered in moss and dirt. For the price being charged, the quality of the room was far below expectations and certainly not comparable to what one would expect from a property positioned at this level.
I raised my concern to the front desk and requested assistance, the management showed interest in resolving the issue and offered an upgrade which was a meaningful support by Abhishek Rana.
I would recommend future guests to check the floor before booking standard room. The pricing reflects a high-end category, but unfortunately, the room quality does not.
Very nice stay, food was great and service was excellent by Mr rishabh.
The food and ambiance was really great. Rishabh and Kinshuk served us the food and their behaviour was very welcoming.
Very good location and service
It was great experience in deed
Mehak and shilpa gave us best look after our kids thanks
I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Radisson Dharamshala, and it is truly one of the best Radisson properties I have ever experienced.
I visited with my friends to celebrate a birthday, and the hotel staff went above and beyond to make the occasion special.
A special mention goes to a young gentleman from the front desk—a small, slim staff member—who took great care in helping arrange a beautiful surprise birthday celebration for my friend. Although I unfortunately don't remember his name, his kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made a huge difference and helped create a truly memorable experience.
The hotel itself is stunning, with breathtaking mountain views and a peaceful atmosphere. The rooms were comfortable, well-maintained, and offered everything needed for a relaxing stay. The heated swimming pool was one of the highlights of our trip and added to the overall luxury of the experience.
The hospitality, service, and overall ambiance were exceptional throughout our stay. Every member of the team made us feel welcome and valued.
Thank you to the entire Radisson Dharamshala team for making our celebration so special. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dharamshala. Without a doubt, it is one of the finest Radisson properties I have stayed at, and I look forward to returning in the future.
I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience left me genuinely disappointed.
As we were checking out and rushing to catch our flight, we placed a very simple room service order at 1:00 PM—just one Rajma Rice and one Spaghetti. We clearly informed the team that we would be leaving by 2:00 PM and requested the food by 1:30 PM. We were assured that it wouldn't be a problem.
As time passed, we called repeatedly—3 to 4 times—only to hear, "We'll get back to you." No one ever did. No explanation, no update, no apology. Eventually, we had to leave for the airport hungry, without receiving the food we had ordered. It wasn't about the meal anymore; it was about feeling completely ignored.
What hurt even more was the response at reception. When we requested two bottles of water before leaving, we were simply told that they didn't have any and that we should get them ourselves from the restaurant. After spending our holiday at the property, this was the last thing we expected.
Hospitality is not just about beautiful rooms and scenic views. It's about making guests feel cared for, especially during small moments when they need help the most. Sadly, throughout this experience, we felt like our concerns didn't matter.
The only person who stood out was Dilip. His warmth, promptness, and willingness to help restored a little faith in the service standards we had hoped to experience. Thank you, Dilip, for being the one person who genuinely cared.
We arrived with excitement and left with disappointment. Dharamshala is beautiful, but unfortunately, our memories of this stay will be overshadowed by the poor service and lack of basic courtesy we experienced. I sincerely hope the management takes guest feedback seriously so that others do not leave feeling the way we did.
I am currently staying at Radisson Blu Dharamshala, and this is my third visit to the property. I had stayed here approximately one year ago and again around three years ago. Both previous experiences were exceptional and left such a positive impression that I specifically chose to return once again. In fact, one of the primary reasons for revisiting Dharamshala was to enjoy the hotel itself, as there are limited sightseeing options compared to many other hill destinations.
Unfortunately, this stay has been a major disappointment.
During my earlier visits, the property had a vibrant atmosphere, live music, attentive staff, prompt service, and an overall luxury experience that justified the Radisson Blu brand. This time, however, the ambience feels significantly diminished. There was no live music even on a Saturday evening, and the overall energy and guest experience felt noticeably lacking.
The kids' play area was another disappointment. The PlayStation was not functioning, and even the television intended for movies was not working. Such basic amenities being out of service is not something one expects from a five-star hotel belonging to a reputed international hospitality chain.
Our disappointment began right from check-in. We were initially allotted a Deluxe Room that honestly felt more like a budget accommodation than a premium hotel room. It had very limited natural light, no balcony, and a poor view. Half the window overlooked part of the hotel building, while the other half faced generators and maintenance equipment. It was probably one of the least appealing rooms I have ever been offered in a Radisson property.
To their credit, the staff did respond to our request and offered another room that was somewhat better, although it was still located away from the central area of the property. What was surprising was that the location and nature of these rooms cannot be properly understood while booking online, even for guests who have stayed here previously.
The service experience was equally disappointing. We ordered a couple of drinks and a starter, and after repeated reminders to multiple staff members, the order finally arrived after approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Even then, only the starter arrived initially, while the drinks were delayed further. Since we were hungry, we ate the starter, which unfortunately had already become cold by the time it reached our table. When the drinks eventually arrived, there was nothing left to accompany them. Such delays and lack of coordination are unacceptable for a hotel of this category.
The following day, the hotel made a thoughtful gesture by offering us a room closer to the main property and the central stage area. I genuinely appreciated this effort and viewed it as a positive attempt to improve our experience.
However, when we went to inspect the newly allotted room, we discovered that it had not been prepared after the departure of the previous guest. The room was unmade, disorganized, and clearly not ready for occupancy. Before leaving for local sightseeing, I personally informed housekeeping, the manager, and other staff members about the situation and requested that the room be prepared while we were away.
To our surprise, when we returned approximately three hours later, the room remained in exactly the same condition. The only change was that our luggage had been transferred from the previous room into the unprepared room. Everything else remained untouched.
At this stage, I am still spending my second night at the hotel and genuinely do not know where the problem lies. Is the property severely understaffed? Is there a lack of training, communication, supervision, or accountability? Or is this indicative of a broader decline in standards?
What makes this experience particularly disappointing is that Radisson Blu Dharamshala itself set very high expectations through the excellent experiences it delivered during my previous visits. Sadly, based on my current stay, the property appears to be moving in the opposite direction. I sincerely hope the management takes these concerns seriously because this hotel has the potential to be outstanding, but at present it is falling far short of the standards it once maintained.
That was wonderful. Food was wonderful environment. Wonderful terminate our top notch our family. Enjoyed it.
The resort is beautiful! Up on a hill but also without as much elevation as the other luxury resorts. This was important to us as Dad has a heart condition. Beautiful views from the rooms of the valley. The room was nice and quite adequate. Good temp control, good shower pressure and amenities and enough space. We had room service a few times. Whether at the Restaraunt or room service I asked for customized simple food - dal with simple tadka, specific sabjis simply made like aloo gobhi and aloo palak. All of it was followed exactly and was still delicious. Additionally I asked for packed parathas for day touring and those were delivered on time and were excellent too. The breakfast was fabulous. I had Jammu rajma chawal - first ever time in a breakfast - the chef said it was their take on baked beans which I loved. The service at breakfast and at free high tea was excellent. Reception staff was excellent. Also our tour guide - Anil was fantastic. +91-9780234705. On insta - feelmycitytours. He had toured Amritsar with us and I knew he would be wonderful. He brought his 7 seater new car and an additional driver so he could help us. I especially love that he took fantastic care of my dad who has dementia allowing my mom time to see everything. He spent so much time with mom explaining much more than Dharamshala sites..but also about Sikhism which we very much appreciated. We saw kangra fort and museum, nimbulinga museum, dalai lama monastery. We also went to a charity - Kranti India which rehabilitates girls from red light district in Mumbai. If you get a chance please contact them and visit them. It will warm your heart to see the love and care there.
It was a wonderful stay and excellent service by Ms. Mehak, Shilpa and sumit ji.
Mehak and shilpa housekeeping. Very nice hospitality
one if the best nd beautiful spot in dharmshala ❣️everyone must visit ❤️🔥 it s very safe place for kids nd family .i appreciate the service , rooms , food nd cleanliness
Tushar was efficient, helpful, and gave us great tips on local spots. The hotel itself is beautiful and serene—those morning bird sounds are a dream!
Our only critique is the food: we'd love to see more Western food options on the menu to balance out the Indian selection. Highly recommended overall!
I am extremely disappointed with the service I experienced today. I ordered food for my baby over an hour ago, and it still has not been delivered. This kind of delay is unacceptable, especially when it involves a child.
Additionally, the staff has not been welcoming or attentive. Instead of addressing the concern with urgency and care, the overall attitude has been unprofessional and indifferent.
I expected a much higher standard of service, and this experience has been very frustrating. I hope you take this feedback seriously and work on improving both your service efficiency and staff behaviour.
