My fault. But didn’t tick when I booked online 2 people. Missed the box - never done bed as my husband of 55 yrs and I go everywhere together. But on checkin (midnight) very friendly fellow reminded us we had breakfast included, as I had thought and which I added when booking. First day all good for breakfast. Second made to feel by lady admitting guests to breakfast like we were trying to scam them! Said we only had breakfast included for one - which turns out was probably true. But to sort this the guy on reception on entry should have picked this up as there was clearly 2 of us. We would have paid extra if he had have picked this up. Would have saved us being made feel dreadful by dragon lady at breakfast which of course was hard to enjoy then due to her manner and pointing us out to other staff.
Any rate I’ll make sure I double check that box when booking in future to save our stay being soured in this way.
This is our hotel of choice when we visit Melbourne. Restaurant is exceptional. Great staff.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep, and the staff were professional and welcoming from start to finish. Perfect for a quick, high-quality city stay.
Fantastic location, meters from tram stops and directly opposite Spencer Street station. Lovely modern and clean, staff were very helpful.

It’s so central to getting anywhere in the city and beyond, the staff are phenomenal & the boutique feel of a small hotel is just what we wanted.
Aside from having to get the staff to take you down to the basement every time to get to your car & the chocolate hour needs a few extra treats on offer - it was fabulous
