Rezeption ist erst ab 14 Uhr (2pm) besetzt und die Hochbetten sind sehr hart, die Matratze ist sehr dünn und durchgelegen. Wir hatten in anderen Hotels auch Futonbetten und dort waren die Matratzen deutlich dicker.
Perfect location for us. Near transportation (train station and bus stops) and walkable to sights like Nijo castle or Nishiki market.
Our room had a kitchen corner, very useful for in room breakfast or dinners when you don't want to go out again. We were travelling with a 3 years old and the tatami area was great for play time.
Just a detail, the front office staff is only here in the afternoon. And while they are super friendly and welcoming, they can't help you book a taxi or forward your luggage with yamato services. They can however receive the luggage and help you fill in the delivery slip.
Our room was really spacious and comfortably spaced. Location was also good as it’s pretty close to subway station and has a few good food and shopping places nearby.
Room wasn’t clean enough and most of the furniture/amenities are pretty old. Could’ve been better. Especially, since we get to compare to another 3-star hotel we stayed in while in Japan.

The room was spacious, well designed, well equipped. The staff was very friendly and spoke excellent English. The small kitchenette in the room is very usable and the kitchen ventilation was very capable, no lingering smells! I love the design of the room, and the little seating area.
There was clear damage from previous guests and that diminished the premium atmosphere the room had and it was such a pity! The staff was not always present at the desk during reception hours, making it hard to get a hold of them. And the designated smoking area was right outside the hotel, which is understandable, but as a non smoker it is not pleasant to have to always pass the smokers. Really a pity because I like the hotel very much!
在京都能擁有這樣大小空間的房型真的很難得,附近就有超市可以採買,房間內也可烹調,衛浴也很有質感,床舖跟枕頭超舒適,很少出國可以睡到適合的枕頭真的很難得,性價比很高,很適合一家人旅遊。環境很安靜,一出巷子就有公車可以搭乘,交通很便利,下次拜訪京都還會想再入住。

So clean and spacious especially loved the separate toilet from the bathroom and it have a coin operated washing machine on every floor. So convenient

We were extremely disappointed with this stay.
We stayed here once last year and had a very good impression, which is why we decided to extend our stay in Kyoto this year and book this hotel again. Unfortunately, this time the experience was completely different.
When we first entered the room, there was a very strong smell of food, clearly left from the previous guest who had cooked in the room. In addition, every bed had a sandy, gritty feeling with visible hair on them. There was hair on the floor as well, and even a noticeable foot odor. It was very obvious that the room had not been properly cleaned. By the evening, our whole family felt extremely uncomfortable.
I went downstairs to inform the only staff member at the front desk. He was polite and came upstairs to check, but there was not even a single apology. He only said that housekeeping would come the next day and then left.
The cleaning staff did come at 10:00 AM the next morning. When we returned that evening, the room was finally clean. However, this means that our first night was spent in a room that had not been cleaned at all.
Regarding the towels, we stayed for six nights and the towels were only replaced once, during that one cleaning. When I asked how to change towels, I was told that we could collect them at the front desk between 14:00 and 22:50, and was even told “you can come now to collect them.” However, I had passed by the front desk just five minutes earlier and there was no one there. I was then told that the staff might be in the office.
The whole experience was extremely frustrating. We stayed for six nights, yet we had to wait for staff to be physically present at the front desk just to get clean towels. The hours when staff are available are exactly the hours when we are out sightseeing, and by the time we return, they are off duty.
Overall, this stay was a terrible experience. We will not be staying here again.
