The breakfast was not what we expected of a 4 star hotel. There was not much choice for foreigners and vegetarians who do not want to eat local food. There was no variety in the bread. There was only 1 type of tea available.
The breakfast was not up to standard. The room lighting can be improved.

The room at the hotel was Spacious , comfortable and clean. Good running hot water and air conditioning . Breakfast was very good and staffs very polite, helpful.

Prime Location – The hotel is conveniently situated near the lake and night market, making it easy to explore the area.
Clean & Well-Maintained – The property and rooms are kept spotless.
Exceptional Staff – The reception team went above and beyond, arranging a car and driver for my first day.
Last-Minute Upgrade – After staying four nights, the staff kindly upgraded me to a suite on my final night, showing great hospitality after me finally loosing my patience.
Terrible for Light Sleepers – The walls are extremely thin, making it impossible to ignore noise from neighboring rooms.
Constant Disturbances – Conversations, coughing, sneezing, and even TV sounds are clearly audible.
Worse with Groups – Loud guests turn the hotel into a chaotic dorm-like experience due to the lack of soundproofing.
Wrong Room Allocation - While I booked a double deluxe room I was assigned a twin bed room with two single beds joined together. Also the screen was welcoming some other guest and never reflected my name for the duration of my stay at the Marigold Hotel. You can literally see a plug point emerge in the middle of the headboard for the bed.
While the staff’s efforts were commendable, the poor construction quality (especially the paper-thin walls) made my stay unbearable. I would not return to Hotel Marigold, despite its great location and helpful team. A major redesign is needed to fix these issues.

Very polite staff who were keen to provide high standard of service. We were upgraded for free to larger room. Great location for walking/taxi to bars or restaurants. Breakfast was all Vietnamese buffet, so be aware that there were only eggs and bread available if you’re not into that. Cleaning noises started very early in the corridors outside our room.

The location was quite far out, so had to get bikes or taxi’s everywhere.
