Great hotel with a really cool vibe. Very clean, very nice staff. It's really stylish, which I find uncommon - especially in that neighborhood. It's close to the tube which is also nice - and air conditioned, which can be a rarity in the UK these days. I definitely recommend it.
The location isn't amazing - the neighborhood isn't much to see. Still, it's close to the tube so it's not a big deal. There was something a bit frustrating, that my key card would stop working every day and I had to ask the staff for a new one, but again - not a big deal.
Breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast choice and quality was good. Air conditioning in room worked well.
Reception staff abrupt and indifferent. Television service in whole hotel apparently broken. Not ideal during football world cup and Wimbledon. Wifi patchy at best. No curtain linings or blackout blinds in room, not great in June. If staying ask for a room away from front as traffic noise is loud. Some rooms have no easy lift access.
The overall vibe of the hotel was great, I loved the lobby which had lots of interesting things on the walls and tons of knick knacks about the place, and the building itself was gorgeous. The bed was really comfy. The DLR was a 5 min walk down the street and there was a Lidl about 10 mins along the canal which was a really lovely walk.
Initially my partner and I were very excited to visit this hotel, we had been looking to stay here for a while and finally had the opportunity to. Unfortunately, we were placed in a room that was akin to a child's fun house. Typically I'd love this type of vibe, but there was something depressing and uninviting about it. It was sort of dark and kind of dingy (but not unclean), with clown-like characters on the wall. It could also do with some refreshing as there was a little damage here and there but nothing major. On top of that, the only mirrors in the room (the bathroom itself had a normal face mirror) were all fun house type mirrors, which was pretty funny after a while but annoying if you were trying to sort your make up, hair, or just wanted to check an outfit. We did ask to change rooms but they were fully booked until the next day supposedly. At that point we decided not to bother changing rooms as the beds were comfy and we were only there another night anyway so that was enough.
The bar was never manned whenever we went down to get a drink, even after waiting 5 minutes no one would appear.
We did find the hotel to be quite expensive considering it's location - it was a bit outside of the thoroughfare of London city and the vibes of the local area were quite sketchy to say the least.
It was quirky and look great in the pictures.
The superior double room we booked did not live up to what is advertised on the website, e.g there is no waterfall shower just a shower hose and head.
I emailed the property and asked if they were playing the England game and they said yes, even on the roof terrace, however after racing back after a concert to watch it the bars were not open and tv off, so we decided to watch it in our room when we were told the tv isn’t working!
Last thing it was £5 for a bottle of water but the same bottle is complimentary in the room?
Not worth the money for the stay.
Cleanliness and friendly staff.
No storage space for clothes.
Very quirky and based in a Pretty good location with a 10 minute walk from the tube The breakfast was amazing 🤩. The decor was different but the light fittings were phenomenal
We did request a superior double - but it was extremely small (especially with a 6 foot 5 man!). The bathroom was tired but clean and good shower. We did ask to move rooms but were told that was what we had requested. We arrived back around 1045 and no bar or food was available. The hotel was full and lots of guests were downstairs trying to order food in.
Absolutely gorgeous, quirky little hotel! Great location, very easy to get to ABBA Voyage and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park/London Stadium. Very comfortable room, friendly, helpful staff and a great breakfast!
An immaculately clean property , with lovely staff and wonderful food : breakfast was excellent.
For me the amount of bric a brac everywhere although it is fascinating it was just not shown on any of the pictures !
So unique, chilled relaxed vibe. Great character. Amazing bedroom. Great breakfast buffet.
this is a real little gem in London. Beautifully decked out with hundreds of paintings and lovely Peruvian rugs and furniture. The building itself is really nice being an old library. And the little garden at the front with loads of beautiful plotted plants which you sort of have to weave your way through to get in is a really nice touch. Staff were lovely. I can’t fault it you would not be disappointed.
absolutely nothing I didn’t like about this place. It was lovely. You could argue that there’s a busy road outside but as soon as you walk through the door, you can’t hear it anyway so it’s irrelevant.
