Kurz und knapp gesagt, es waren schöne Tage in Offenburg.
Pros:

Der 1. Eindruck war sehr gut, freundliches Personal an der Rezeption und und auch sonst. Das Hotel ist sehr sauber, ob es in der Hotelhalle oder auch im Frühstücksraum. Zudem war das Frühstücksbufet sehr reichhaltig. Selbst das Zimmer war sehr ordentlich, modern eingerichtet und vor allem sehr sauber. Auch das Bad war sehr sauber. Das Hotel kann ich nur empfehlen, man kann sich dort wohlfühlen.

Cons:

Leider kostet das Parken 13 Euro/Tag, wenn man den hoteleigenen Parkplatz benutzt. Im öffentlichen Bereich konnte man kostenlos parken, wenn man eine Lücke gefunden hat, ich habe immer einen Stellplatz im öffentlichen Bereich gefunden.
Da sich das Hotel in bahnhofsnähe befindet hört man natürlich auch die Züge, hauptsächlich Güterzüge. Da ist es etwas lauter, wenn man das Fenster geöffnet hat.

Intransparente Preisgestaltung und mangelhafter Kundenservice
Cons:

Unser Aufenthalt im Holiday Inn Express Offenburg war leider sehr enttäuschend.

Bereits im Vorfeld fiel eine sehr ungewöhnliche Preisentwicklung auf: Das gleiche Zimmer wurde zunächst deutlich teurer angeboten. Einige Wochen später war exakt die gleiche Zimmerkategorie rund 100 € günstiger verfügbar, sodass ich die ursprüngliche Buchung stornierte und neu gebucht habe. Eine solche Preisschwankung trägt in diesem Fall aber bereits zu einem intransparenten Gesamteindruck bei.

Besonders negativ aufgefallen ist dann die völlig unklare Preisgestaltung vor Ort. Für ein Standard-Doppelzimmer mit Ausziehsofa wurde effektiv ein Mehrpreis von rund 100 € berechnet – obwohl gleichzeitig damit geworben wird, dass Kinder bis 17 Jahre kostenfrei im Zimmer der Eltern übernachten. Das Zimmer selbst war keineswegs ein „Familienzimmer“, sondern ein sehr kleines Standardzimmer, in dem nach Ausziehen des Sofas kaum noch Bewegungsfreiheit bestand. Der deutlich höhere Preis ist in keiner Weise nachvollziehbar.

Auch die Kommunikation vor Ort war unzureichend. Weder beim Check-in noch beim Check-out konnte mir jemand den Preis plausibel erklären, auch wurde ich diesbzgl. nicht, wie gebeten, kontaktiert.

Zusätzlich stimmen die Angaben auf der Website nicht mit der Realität überein: Das Frühstück sollte laut Website ab 6:00 Uhr verfügbar sein, tatsächlich begann es jedoch erst um 7:00 Uhr – für uns somit nicht nutzbar.

Ebenfalls kritisch: Eine Kaution für den Aufenthalt mit Hund wurde erst beim Check-in verlangt, ohne dass dies im Vorfeld transparent kommuniziert wurde.

Besonders enttäuschend war jedoch der Umgang mit meiner Beschwerde im Nachgang. Auf meine ausführliche Schilderung wurde nicht eingegangen, sondern lediglich pauschal auf die Buchungsdaten verwiesen. Ein angebotener Rückruf fand trotz Terminvorschlag nicht statt.

Fazit: Insgesamt entsteht der Eindruck eines wenig kundenorientierten Umgangs sowie mangelnder Transparenz.
Sehr schade, da es an sich ein schönes Hotel ist.
