Location near a train station and out of the central madness. Hotel is modern, good size room and very clean. Water purifier machine in room so drinkable water on tap! Staff helpful and approachable. Gym downstairs always empty. Quiet rooms (never heard another guest despite it being busy). Rooms attended to every day. Loved our stay. Great value.

Hotel is conveniently located near the train station. Room was a decent size and cleverly designed with hooks around the room so you can get clothes off the floor. There are two Japanese traditional breakfast places in the vicinity. Lots of lounge areas in the lobby and there is a kiosk to forward your luggage. The gym is functional and clean.
We came during cherry blossom season so they helpfully provided a map of where the trees were blooming and at what stage they were at.
We didn’t experience the DJ but they have loud music playing in their lobby as part of the vibe.

I was assigned to a room at Ground Level. The overall atmosphere like a jail or black box. Totally unacceptable. The room is very small and narrow, bad insulation. One of the male staff with bald head was rude and impatient while啞鈴the order安泰the八日。.

The Moxy Hotel in Kyoto is an excellent and affordable option for accommodation in the city. Located across from Nijo Station and very close to Nijo Castle, it's convenient for getting around the city and exploring some of the surrounding attractions.
I definitely recommend the Moxy Hotel in Kyoto.

Moxy rated this was a 5 for the brand. Decent size room with comfortable beds and great shower water pressure. The breakfast buffet was sufficient to start the day. We found the bar had great drinks and really good food if you’re too tired to venture out after a busy sightseeing day. Closer to the Imperial Palace, Nijo Castle and Silver Temple side of town. Really great staff who were friendly and willing to answer any questions! After splurging our first 2 night in Kyoto, this more budget friendly hotel met all our needs and we were completely happy here.

We had a great stay at Moxy Kyoto. The location is very convenient, less than a 5-minute walk to JR Nijo Station, with easy access to Kyoto Station and within walking distance to Nijo Castle. There’s also an amazing ramen spot right next door, Yamashita Shozo, which was a big highlight for us.

The room is on the smaller side, as expected for Moxy, but very functional with smart use of space, especially the hanging area on the wall. The shower pressure was also great.

The hotel has a lively and social atmosphere, especially at the bar in the lobby, which adds a fun touch to the overall experience. The staff were all very nice and welcoming, and the front desk team shared some great sightseeing recommendations, which we really appreciated.

Overall, a comfortable and easy stay in a great location.
