Oh my god, where can I start even describing this? 10 starts won't do. We were at the hotel at the end of the summer season, so it was opened for just us and 2 other couples. The staff was so amazing, made us fresh tapiocas every morning - Mr. Gil was just the most friendly, wholesome human, with just amazing life stories and such laid back peaceful attitude. Along with (I am sorry I forgot your names) the staff that helped us pay and first received us at the pousada - I must say as well one of them spoke - perfect - English. My British husband felt specially welcomed. All of the staff were really happy to help, give tips of where to eat, what to do, when to go where.
I still need to stay with the staff - upon learning about my husbands love for fresh mangoes, they made sure every breakfast there was always some fresh, sliced mango specially for us.
We had the pleasure to wake up to gentle monkey and bird noises, and the beautiful smells that came of the kitchen - and then open our window to a beautiful view of trees and the pool. The pousada had a friendly dog called Colin, he is the best and loves belly scratches.
The pousada is just a few meters from the main river and beach promenade what results in a very quite night time, but also quick access to the slow life of end of season coastal town in Brazil. I simply loved this place, I felt like cancelling the rest of the trip to stay here longer. Thank you so much for the dreamy stay!

Everything. The Madalena is a beautiful petite pousada, with every detail taken care of showing their love for what they offer.
Belinda and her husband (owners) go the extra mile whether it is somewhere to eat at night (great recommendation Vino Bar) or even take me to another place when neither taxis nor ubers appeares.
Could not ask for more. Thank you for everthing!

The Madalena is a great Pousada, like a small boutique hotel. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, well-decored. You can find everything you need for a nice stay. There are some rooms with a small balcony, excellent for reading and chilling, and there is also a pool for guests' use. The breakfast is a feast, superb! The staff and owner are really friendly and nice. The hotel is near everything in Imbassai and has a parking lot... I certainly enjoyed staying at the Madalena!!
This pousada is in fact a boutique hotel with luxurious rooms. It is beautifully designed and decorated. Everything works as it should. The hosts are wonderful and the staff are great. Nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast is to die for!

We were on our honeymoon and my parents were celebrating 43 years anniversary. They prepared everything with so much love!
There was nothing that we didn't like... just a couple of observations.
1) There were no amenities (shampoo and conditioner) - we had to buy them.
2) There is no buffet for breakfast, at least not for us, as we were basically the only ones in the hotel... so maybe it didn't make sense to put a buffet out. However, we were very well served.
