Die Lage in Utrecht ist genial, die Innenstadt ist einen gemütlichen Spaziergang durch das Boutiquenviertel entfernt. Wir haben für 2 Nächte geschlafen, das Frühstück war sehr gut.

A stylish and comfortable hotel, but too many small details made the experience feel more basic than the price and prese
Pros:

Stylish hotel in a good location, just a short walk from the centre. The room was very clean, the bed was extremely comfortable with good firm pillows, and the shower was good.

Cons:

A lot of small things stood out. €10 was charged for checking in just 45 minutes early, plus a €20-per-day deposit that I wasn't expecting. The room had virtually no storage — just a wall-mounted wire rack and no drawers — which felt very basic for a hotel presenting itself as luxurious. Paper cups were provided instead of proper mugs, the Wi-Fi was patchy, and the bathroom lock didn't work.
Housekeeping was inconsistent: used glasses weren't replaced, shower gel wasn't refilled and the bath mat was removed without being replaced. Breakfast was particularly disappointing, with a sparse selection, cold cooked food, grey apple in the fruit salad and a piece of plastic packaging still attached to my pain au chocolat. I would recommend eating breakfast elsewhere if possible.

Soggiorno piacevolissimo, peccato per il finale…
Pros:

Bella struttura, posizione ottima anche se non centrale, ma vicinissima ad una stazione e comunque anche a piedi in 15-20 min si è in centro. Stanza pulita e accogliente, il soggiorno è stato piacevole.

Cons:

La struttura chiede un deposito di 20 euro a notte (nel nostro caso un totale di 60 euro) per eventuali consumazioni aggiuntive, da pagare rigorosamente con carta. Tralasciando il fatto che obbligare a lasciare un deposito per eventuali consumazioni (non richieste) sia abbastanza discutibile, a rendere la cosa più spiacevole è che al momento del check-in mi era stato detto che il deposito mi sarebbe stato restituito al check-out, invece poi mi è stato detto che avrei dovuto aspettare circa 10-15 giorni lavorativi. Dal 6 agosto (giorno del check-out) ad oggi 26 agosto, non ho ricevuto ancora i miei soldi. Trovo che tutto ciò sia molto scorretto, e mi dispiace perché per il resto è stato un soggiorno davvero piacevole, ma questo fatto mi ha indubbiamente infastidita. Anche a Delft, nei giorni successivi, un’altra struttura ci ha chiesto un deposito, ma hanno accettato i contanti e ci è stato restituito tutto al check-out senza problemi.

Pros:

Comfortable, clean room with a nice view of the canal. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient location with good transport links.

Cons:

No storage in rooms. No safe. Air con very noisy and ineffective. Breakfast could have done with more hot options e.g. baked beans; also, the bacon was dripping in fat and the toaster took too long. More tables needed for breakfast. Housekeeping was hit and miss - some days there was a complete clean; some days they re-made the bed (even though the bed was already made) but they didn’t refresh the dirty mugs or empty the bin; other days, no housekeeping at all. Whilst not the hotel’s fault, overnight maintenance on the canal lifting bridge was incredibly loud and disturbed sleep.

Leuk voor een keer, maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar
Pros:

Bereikbaarheid is prima. Ruimte om koffer neer te zetten was prima.

Cons:

Ontbijt was minimalistisch. Weinig keuze voor vegan. Kamer was ok, niet heel bijzonder. Badkamer was echt heel klein.
aparte kapstok voor jassen ontbrak. Die moest je aan een rek hangen waaronder het bureau stond of je koffer. Gelukkig waren de jassen niet nat door regen. Personeel sprak alleen Engels of andere buitenlandse talen en (zeer) gebrekkig Nederlands.
