Prob won’t go back
Pros:

Our room was in fair. (Room 305)
There was cold air coming in the patio door- we left the curtains closed for this reason- luckily it wasnt minus 40.
Bathroom sink drain wouldn’t go up- we had to prop it open.

On Sat the pool was busy.
We found an empty lounger- and put our stuff on it. B4 entering pool I looked back and our stuff was gone. This ignorant couple moved our stuff and proceeded to yell at us.
So where were the lifeguards to intervene at the man yelling?
I suggest more chairs and more hooks
The restaurant in the building is top notch- great service and great food

Staff provided excellent and kind support
Pros:

On previous visit I rated this hotel 4 out of 5. On this visit they deserved a 5/5. The extra touch was the kind and supportive staff. For this solo wheelchair traveller, that was the icing on the cake. Special kudos to the front desk and housekeeping staff who enabled transport of my baggage to and from my lovely room 304. The pool attendants were also especially kind, as was the cafe attendant etc. Really the entire staff. Also the towels are now excellent. Also a great place to celebrate a birthday - they gave me a free bottle of nice pino grigio - a free dessert was also an option.

A promising stay that fell short
Pros:

I stayed at this hotel for two nights specifically to experience the mineral pool, as I had heard many positive things about it. The hotel is beautifully located on the shores of Lake Manitou in Saskatchewan, home to the only naturally salty lake in the country. The mineral-rich water is known for its health benefits, and the property also offers a spa with a good variety of treatments.

Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet expectations. The building and rooms are outdated and in need of renovation. Although spa access was included, the pool water was overheated and not very clean. Communication at the front desk was difficult due to language barriers, and lifeguards were frequently coughing and clearing their throats in front of guests. I requested towels, but they were never delivered, making me feel ignored. The visible placement of a mouse trap in the corner increased my concerns about the overall maintenance.

Overall, while the mineral lake itself is unique and full of potential, significant improvements in cleanliness, upkeep, and service are needed.

Not impressed despite renovations
Pros:

The moment we walked in we smelled the strong smell of fresh paint and fresh epoxy. Upon entering the pool the smell was overpowering, it gave us a headache. The renovations are visible but poorly and cheaply done. The pool floor is quite slippery. The change rooms are poorly lit.

Poor service at the spa and very pricey
Pros:

This review is for the actual spa. I came for a girls weekend trip. We stayed at the hotel and we all got treatments at the spa. The pool itself was fine and refreshing. The spa was very expensive and not what a spa experience should be. They must've only had 1 person working in the spa over the weekend. None of us were able to get treatments done at the same time (for example pedicures). The person working did not seem experienced or confident.... or just wasnt good at her job. I will only speak to my spa experience here. The pedicure i had was the longest, most u comfortable pedicure ive ever had, not to mention the most expensive. No beverage is offered. The chair kept rolling away from the worker, also the chair is not a massage chair. The worker also kept telling me to "relax" and at the end of pedicure said " you should be relaxed now". My facial was not good either. Usually you get a little run down of what treatment you are receiving , and what products they are using etc. Not here. This was the same girl from the pedicure. She also applied every product over my eyes, which ive never had done before. She even applied a gel mask which needed to gel before removal over my eyes and mouth without telling me. This made me very uncomfortable. What if I would've had fake eyelashes or something ? I told her she needs to be more informative to guests. One again after this treatment I was told " you should be relaxed now". So over all this spa needs work. And it is very pricey. Would not recommend. If someone opened up a private spa down the road they could cash in.

A real gem in the middle of nowhere.
Pros:

Spent several days on this resort. Located in the middle of nowhere. Provides an excellent chance to relax and enjoy the healing effects of those pools filled with soothing liquid. A good restaurant with Saskatchewan steaks and great SK local draft. No crowds no hustle and bustle of a big city. Polite people and outstanding service.

Wonderfully relaxing
Pros:

Although parts of the deck and surroundings need some fixing, which is planned, the mineral pools are amazing. From very hot pool, to cooler pool, to an even cooler pool (although all are warm) a person can float and relax and be rejuvenated. Loved it.
The rooms have been updated, and the beds replaced. Everything excellent.
Restaurant (water’s Edge) never disappoints. We’ve been there for breakfast, lunch, and dinners , and have always been pleased. Food is great, service impeccable, and quantities more than can be expected.

Loved our time there.
