So clean .. exceptional staff

Tout était parfait. Le personnel est respectueux, les chambres sont d'une propreté remarquable et le restaurant et petit-déjeuner sont tout aussi formidables. La piscine est un véritable plus.

Having visited Barcelona many times over the years, I can honestly say that our stay at Antiga Casa Buenavista was by far the most exceptional experience we have ever had in the city.

The hotel itself is outstanding. The facilities are beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and maintained to the highest standard. What truly impressed us, however, were the small details that made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Every day, after returning from our explorations of Barcelona, we would find a note and chocolates waiting for us in the room.

The breakfast deserves special mention. The selection is phenomenal—varied, abundant, and of exceptional quality. The standard of the food is remarkable and far exceeds what one might expect, even from a very good hotel restaurant.

The true highlight of our stay, however, was the warmth, kindness, and generosity of the staff. They knew my child’s name, always greeted us with genuine warmth, and made us feel welcomed from the moment we arrived. One particularly touching gesture was when they gave us an energy juice before we left for our day trip to Montserrat. It was such a thoughtful and caring surprise, and perfectly reflected the spirit of the entire team.

We returned to Antiga Casa Buenavista to celebrate our 2nd wedding anniversary, having first stayed here two years ago for our mini-honeymoon. Once again, this incredible hotel completely stole our hearts.

What We Loved:
The Vibe & Rooms: It perfectly blends a cozy, intimate boutique feel with high-end, luxury vibes. The rooms are beautiful, stylish, and exceptionally clean.

The Staff & Service: The team here is absolutely top-tier. They are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. They make you feel special from the moment you walk in.

The Food: Breakfast was excellent every single morning with fresh, high-quality options.

Location: You couldn't ask for a better spot. It’s ideally located right between Universitat and Plaça Catalunya, making it incredibly easy to explore the city while still feeling like a peaceful retreat.

A Quick Note on the Pool:
Because it’s a smaller boutique hotel, the rooftop pool area is naturally quite intimate with limited space. During our stay, Barcelona was incredibly busy due to the Bad Bunny concert, bringing a massive influx of tourists to the city. One afternoon, a group of American guests brought several outside friends/non-guests up to the pool area. It made the small space feel overcrowded and took away from the exclusive, relaxing hotel vibe for paying guests. I'd love to see the hotel monitor rooftop access a bit more strictly during high-occupancy weekends.

Final Verdict:
Despite the one-off pool crowd, we love this place. Antiga Casa Buenavista is a masterclass in hospitality. We will always, always come back here whenever we visit Barcelona. Thank you for another unforgettable anniversary!

Very comfortable bed, quiet room, we were facing the courtyard. Good shower and bathroom and good products. Friendly staff, good restaurant, the food was nice.

What a great hotel. Camille and Carlos the front desk staff are lovely and so welcoming and helpful. Our room was spotless and bed was comfy. No street noise with double glazed windows.We were very happy with the restaurant. Make sure to include the breakfast in your booking. It was wonderful and worth the price. We also had dinner in the restaurant one night which was delicious. This hotel and restaurant get a 4 star Michelin rating. Location was good .

Great hotel, good locattion, great staff, clean, nice rooftop, good breakfast, easy check-in and check out. Pnly complaint was the wifi, I never managed to connect.
