If you are looking for a great choice directly in old town Split with very close proximity to water, Diocletian’s Palace
Pros:

Great location….charming & quaint……staff was excellent

Cons:

Views from room weren’t great but then again it’s an old hotel in the Old Town. Not uncommon for the next building to be 3-4 ft away.

Would 100% stay here again.
Pros:

Great place!
We arrived at almost midnight.
Found our driver at the airport and check in was a breeze.
Centrally located a 3 minute walk from the Riva and surrounded by great bars and restaurants.
Don’t miss the rooftop patio!

Pros:

Right in the heart of Split, a beautiful and restful hotel with kind, friendly staff. We had a huge room on the 3rd floor with lots of space and quiet.

Cons:

Nothing we didn’t like.

Really good stay and would return if we decide to return to Split ( but breakfast elsewhere)
Pros:

Location was excellent, the room was very good and the beds very comfortable, the shower very good, all cleaned to a good standard.

Cons:

Breakfast was the only down point - did try the full English but not great and the machine coffee not to my liking.
bacon not available from the self service.

Liked the location in old town and the comfortable room
Pros:

Wonderful location in the old town. Our room overlooked the square but we heard no street noise. Bed was comfortable. Easy walk to ferry terminal, old town sites and great restaurants.

Cons:

Breakfast could have been higher quality. The buffet was not very good and the Eggs Benedict was inedible (but at least it was included with the room).
