موظفي الاستقبال كانو لطفاء نزل نظيف لكن باص التوصيل من و الى الحرم توقيته غير دقيق زيادة على ذلك السائقين ليسو مهذبين خاصة ذلك الباكستاني فهو غير محترم.. خسرت الكثير من المال على المواصلات بتاكسي.. لن اعيد الكرّة .. مستقبلا سابحث عن فندق قريب من الحرم

I’ve been here before and the experience was okay the first time around with the occasional rude staff here and there that we tolerated that we found ourselves coming back for familiarity sake.
This time around though, the bus that takes you to harram had broken down and they brought the smallest van they could. It was beyond dirty and the times were all over the place. It was too small for a hotel of its size and they only provided one! All the other hotels had huge buses whereas violet hotel had a small dirty van so obviously when it filled up (which was very quickly) it left at weird times. That lasted for the last 2 weeks we were there and it seemed like it will last for longer.
Despite the NUMEROUS complaints that I heard people telling the reception since day one, nothing was done and they kept shifting the responsibility to someone else “Go ask this person”. You can waste 2 hours talking to people with no answer. I can’t begin to tell you how many people would miss jummah prayer.
On top of that, the van can’t stop where the other buses stop so it brings you another way that’s a 25 minute walk from the entrance which doesn’t seem like a lot but in the smoldering hot weather, it gets tiring quickly.
I don’t recommend it at all, the money you’re going to save by staying here, you will definitely waste on taxis back and forth (since this issue occurred on trying to get back to the hotel).
The manager was nice so I really wanted to give this a good review but he’s rarely there so you’re dealing with rude staff the whole time too that have no patience or any intention of solving any inconveniences (we spoke fluent Arabic too, so I can’t imagine how this might be for non-Arabic speakers). Even if the van issue is fixed, there is a lot of other issues that have deteriorated since our first stay, making this a terrible experience.

They change the booking, downgrades without changing the price. They did not clean the room at all, for the entire stay. They did not activate the safety box despite our multiple requests.
I am very happy with there services. Had issue with room it was very small I spoke with General Manager helped my the refund me for 3 nights . All three Mohammed, Ali, forgot the other name managers was very professional .
Our stay at Makkah was a great one, but only because of the spiritual experience that Makkah as a city provides.
Our stay at Violet Hotel was average despite me paying very high.rates due to the season. While there were few options only due to the peak season, the service was at best average and poor in most cases. For example, there was no room service provided through our 3 day stay, despite a couple of reminders The number of towels were not enough and toileteries were not refilled throughout our 3 day stay. They were dropped off after a few reminders. The phone to the reception never worked and all requests were made in person at the reception.
Communicatiion is a challenge as very few staff understand English. We realised after 2 days that there was a shuttle service to Kaabah and we could not figure out the timings as the security could not understand my question!!
Such a good hotel for the price. A little far from Haram compared to the other hotels of course but it was worth it. It did have shuttles to Haram, however, it did drop us a little far from Haram and heading to the clock tower area or King Abdul Aziz gate took some time so be ready to walk. Hard time finding the bus in Haram as well to head back, sometimes you can take the other hotels bus, Midan Hotel bus, it is next to Violet.

The rooms were comfortable, and the staff was welcoming, making our stay memorable and enjoyable. My daughter enjoyed the pool and we really liked the breakfast buffet.
Reception speaks no basic word of English and doesn’t seem to care. Customerservices is non existent to put is simple.
At arrival i got ignored for 15 mns while my taxi was waiting outside still with my luggage. Luckily the driver didn't charge me extra for the wait. The shuttle didn't always run on time. And the bus is old and dirty. Wigh very rude drivers shouting. The legs of our beds were unbalanced so moving in the bed makes very loud noise. The images of the TV are the worse i have seen in 30 years. So i will bropably stop here and say i will never use this hotel again.
