The pro is the hotel is right around the corner from the train station, making transportation to the airport and day trips outside of Nice very easy. The cons are the limited upkeep of rooms and extremely thin walls— I woke up to the hallway door banging constantly, every morning at 8. But all of this could be expected for a budget hotel. What really ruined my experience was that I was bit by a spider overnight and since I’m allergic, had to go to a 24 hour pharmacy and then the hospital ER the next day. When I came back that night I asked to change my room and I was informed there were no other options. Instead, the person working the desk offered to kill the spider if I saw it… he also said he would definitely tell his manager, but I never heard from the staff again. It’s one thing to have limited services, it’s another to be incapable of meeting a guest’s needs.
Small room size
Very central hotel in the middle of Nice. Nice rooms, not too expensive for the time of year
Comfortable stay in a convenient part of Nice - it’s right next to the train station which is ideal for exploring other coastal towns. The room I stayed in was pretty small but it felt new and high quality.
Nice pleasant stay. Comfy beds and pillows and our room was towards the rear of the building which meant zero noise from the road below. Room was exceptionally small and hardly enough space for one person, let alone two. Room itself was clean but the floors were disgusting - they were sticky and looked and felt like they needed to be washed.
No AC not comfortable
Clean and convenient. Close to the train station and lots of dining options around.
This is certainly not a four-star hotel. At best, it deserves a 2.5-star rating. The property is very small, with a tiny reception area that is not staffed 24 hours a day. There’s no phone in the room, and housekeeping only provides minimal service.
While the hotel is close to the train station, the surrounding area feels unsafe due to the presence of questionable individuals, especially in the evenings. It’s also quite noisy at night, making it difficult to rest.
Overall, the hotel does not meet the expectations of a four-star property. It falls short in terms of service, comfort, and atmosphere. It is simply not worth the four-star rating or the price being charged.
It was central which was convenient but there is no 24/7 room service. No phones or iPads in the room. So there was no way to get a hold of someone at 10pm if a towel was needed in the room. The bathroom fan wasn’t working. The blonde front lady wasn’t nice at all. I hurt myself and she refused to give me bandages more than once ( I hurt myself in the hotel).
Rooms were great, staff were lovely!
well located in the city center
I booked this hotel hoping for a clean, professional and restful experience. Instead, I arrived to a room with hair on the toilet seat and pillows with black stains. After a long journey, this was unacceptable. The hotel doesn’t clean rooms daily unless requested in advance — something I was only told at check-in.
There’s no phone in the room, so I had to contact Expedia. They arranged for a room change, but when I went to reception, there was no apology, just silent key handover — as if I was bothering them.
That night, I heard disturbing noises — not just drainage, but knocking and movement. I recorded the sounds, and in the middle of filming, the TV turned on by itself. The remote was far from me, which the video clearly shows. I reported this and was told a male staff member would come up. As a solo female traveller, I declined. I offered the video as evidence, and was told “we checked the camera, it’s probably from outside.” That response left me speechless.
Expedia tried to secure a partial refund, but the hotel refused, citing their cancellation policy. How could I have known what I was walking into? I trusted their website. I feel completely let down. I approached this whole situation respectfully, and was treated with indifference. For a large hotel, I expected basic courtesy. I left feeling unsafe, disappointed, and disrespected.
Beautiful small hotel tucked away on one of the main streets in Nice by the train station. Super convenient and very friendly staff.
Friendly staff and great location, perfect for day trips to Eze, Monaco, Antibes. Overall, very pleased with my stay!
It
Nice property but even better staff. Easy to communicate with, knowledgeable and very friendly! Room was clean and had everything you could need.
Lovely hotel. Love the concept and the decor. Had problems with the first room but the Manager authorised an upgrade to a King Room as the same style room I paid for wasn’t available. Then had a miscommunication with a member of the restaurant staff but the Manager listened to me point of view and carried out Service Recovery. It would be hard to beat the Manager’s service from the heart delivery.
