We booked this hotel as a family of 4 because it was within budget and one of very few hotels available for our dates of a last minute ski holiday. We had read the reviews and didn't have high hopes. However, before the trip I emailed several times about various things and was always responded to quickly and accurately. On arrival and check in we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful man who spoke English and was very helpful and accommodating! We then went to our room- a japanese Tatami/futon room. It was clean and heated and no mould. However, we heard from other guests their rooms did have mould.. It was big enough and had a clean bathroom and toilet. The shower wasn't amazing, but it worked. At dinner we were pleasantly surprised. Again, it wasn't amazing, but it was better than the reviews and there were plenty of options- katsu curry, fried meats, vegetable dishes, basic salad options etc. Considering the price we paid, we were happy! The onsen in the basement was amazing. The showers had a good pressure and great temperatures and the changing rooms super warm. We showered down here daily as well as enjoying the free onsen use. So, whilst it isn't a 5* hotel, it never pretends to be one! We thought it was pretty good value for what we paid- we were right next to the middle ski lift.
There was definitely mould around the hotel and as some reviews say, the wall paper is peeling off in areas. However, this wasn't the case for the whole place. Yes, it definitely needs a bit of a renovation or facelift, but then I imagine the price will double.
The driver on the snowmobile was really friendly. Food was mediocre.
Fake pictures on the booking.com site. Really run down. We decided to move after two nights. The booking was for 6 nights.
The location is great and the staff are absolutely beautiful
It is a little run down and needs a good clean.
Great location right on the snow and close to Sora Ropeway.
Friendly staff and great view from room.
Nice restaurants for lunch within walking distance and up the mountain.
Breakfast and dinner included.
Quite an adventure to get to the hotel - Shinkansen, electric railway, bus and snowmobile.
If you are not skiing there is not much to do after you have done the ropeway.
You need to rely on the snowmobile to get up and down to the information centre (for ropeway tickets, hire equipment, snowboard lessons etc). They only do limited trips a day which would have been nice to know so we could book as soon as we got there. Some rental equipment at the hotel but nothing for kids. Weren’t even able to borrow a toboggan or sled for the kids to play in the snow with.
Was quite a cold hotel, especially in the dining room.
Felt like a school camp.
El lugar estuvo muy lindo el paisaje hermoso! El staff super amable !
The place was very beautiful, the scenery was stunning, and the staff were super friendly!
Friendly, helpful staff and comfortable Japanese style room. Nice ski in and out.
Meals didn’t change much each day, tad boring.
It was truly ski in ski out with ski rental available at the hotel at a discounted price. Top tip is if you want to take advantage of the free helmet rental grab them at the information centre on your way up because you can't ski all the way back to the info centre and they don't have helmets at the hotel. Nice hot water in the shower/bath, good room heating and the staff were very friendly.
The food was ok but we didn't love it - a bit of a school camp vibe. That said, it did the job and the staff were super friendly. You really need to take any extras with you as there is limited availability of snacks/drinks etc. We stayed in a Japanese family room which was comfortable enough.
The location is idyllic sitting perched at the top of the mountain. The staff were very friendly and helpful
The hotel could do with some refurbishment and the food was average
スタッフの方がとても親切でした。
お部屋が広いからなのかレストランが寒すぎました。
