Wonderful property, beautiful surroundings and the staff was great!
Pros:

The Pineola was a beautifully landscaped log like hotel. The rooms were very generous in size and the area was quiet and beautiful. Lots of nature all around and very well cared for property. We will definitely be coming back and maybe try a cabin next time.

Pros:

Location. Room decent size. Had mictowave, fridge. Little coffee maker. Bed was comfortable .Quick to respond through text for any questions we had

Cons:

We were not aware that there is no office to check in, the text they sent went to spam so I didn't get the check in instructions but once I called we were able to get into room.

Never Again
Pros:

I made reservations in April for 2 rooms for 3 nights. I specified that they must be downstairs because of disabilities and they must be far away from the karaoke and music because that surprise kept me awake last year. When we arrived only one room complied with my specifications and the other one was upstairs and the closest one to the music. The man and woman at check-in insisted that they had nothing to do with reservations and since they were fully booked, they could do nothing to rectify the situation. They gave us a number to call for reservation and the recording said to leave a message. We had traveled from Georgia to attend the Roan Mountain Craft Fair as we have done for probably 20 years. There are no other motels in the area and we had no choice but to stay. The price of this disaster was $787 for 3 nights plus $76 for "refund protection".
