Well-appointed, classic building in downtown, Little Rock
Phone in room didn’t work. In room dining was average - not cooked to proper temps, no salt and pepper, request for extra syrup wasn’t met, coffee was room temp - on New Year’s morning. They just missed on the little things
everybody was so nice and it was so clean and it was so quaint and I love the history
nothing
This was the nicest and most comfortable hotel I have ever stayed in. I have traveled extensively in the US and to a lesser extent worldwide. This place took me completely by surprise in the best possible way. It is stunning! Additionally, the service was phenomenal. I know my room was reset and cleaned at least twice/day during my stay, but I never saw a person. It was like magic. The doorman and the concierge were friendly and helpful. I hope I have the opportunity to return
Very comfortable stay Large beautiful lobby. Check in & valet were smooth & friendly. Room was large & quiet. Bed very comfortable.
Downstairs restaurant had limited selection but food was solid. Largest elevator we have ever seen in a hotel!
My husband and I flew into Little Rock to kick off a Blues & BBQ tour and booked the Capital Hotel for just one night. It is a mere 10 minutes from the Little Rock airport, and is a gorgeous *historic* hotel in the heart of downtown Little Rock. 100% valet parking. It has enormous elevators said to transport Grant's horse when he came to town.
This is where it is said was home base for everyone affiliated with both Clinton presidencies and I can see why. The hotel is walkable to several excellent downtown restaurants, as well as the Arkansas River, which has a lovely waterfront park with loads of public art installations (sculpture).
We had a king bed, decently sized room and nice bathroom. Our first room was a bit of a miss - walked in to a ladder/HVAC maintenance going on, but a trip to the main desk got us reassigned immediately. Front desk was friendly and advised us the next morning that the Clinton Library was closed due to the government shut-down, so we were thankful to get that info before we planned our day around going there. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it looked nice.
Recommend!
Excellent staff
All in all a very good stay. The only issue was while having dinner in the bar/restaurant area a large peloton of strange riders came in be in very loud and obnoxious. Sat down for about 15 mins didn’t order drinks and ruined the vibe.
Beds are not comfortable. Sheets are nice and bedding is simple. But mattress is like a rock. Pillows are good.
Great location and staff.
Beautifully restored old hotel in downtown Little Rock.
Would definitely recommend this hotel when visiting Little Rock
Excellent facilities, personable staff, and convenient location. Would recommend.
Beautiful and great food at bar
Nothing
The hotel itself is in good condition and the room was very nice. Just what I expected from the Capital. The staff at the hotel was good. However, the bartender was an absolute joke. I ate at the bar bc I wanted to eat and go to bed as I was tired. But, the bartender was paying no attention, I asked for a napkin 3 times and still have not seen it. If I knew his name I would give him a negative number. I had to ask for a menu, had to remind him of my drink order. Gumbo was lukewarm. He gave me the bill for the couple next to me. I made him give me my bill. Paid it still without a napkin.
In the morning, the restaurant was not open but they finally opened it about 20 minutes late and there was no one in it. Sausage was raw and eggs were not hot. Food and restaurant service was horrible at best. I could run it better and I definitely do not know how to run a restaurant, but my son is a trained chef and hotelier with a degree from an Ivy League school. He is out of that business due to COVID and working for a gaming company now so I have seen it from both sides. Just bad!
Excellent, historic hotel. Our two-queen bedroom was large. We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner in the on-site restaurant.
We were also pleasantly surprised that this hotel provides charging to electric vehicles.
The staff friendliness, impeccable service, and ideal location make this hotel a winner.
(This was part of a one-week road trip from Tallahassee to visit Birmingham, Crystal Bridges Museum, the Clinton Library, historic homes in Natchez, and a beach in Mississippi.)
Struttura bellissima con bar e ristorante. Abbiamo avuto un problema con il bagno e in 1 minuto il personale era nella nostra camera per risolvere tutto. Personale gentile. Buona colazione a pagamento.
