All was good value for money
The location was great. Staff on reception were very helpful. Room was clean
Images are deceiving. The rooms are smaller and don’t have the amenities listed. Our tv didn’t work. The bed is tiny so we didn’t sleep well at all as there was no room. Was told there would be lots of gluten free breakfast options but there was not. I was offered eggs with no facilities to make any toast to go with 2 eggs. You get one small cup of tea, not even a teapot at breakfast.
They take a 50 pound deposit on arrival even if you’ve already paid in advance which is not in any small print that I could see pre booking. It is refunded within 48 hours if you don’t use the mini fridge facilities in the room but not ideal if you were budgeting on a trip so beware.
The room was warm and clean.
The windows were so high we couldn't see out meaning it felt very claustrophobic. The bathroom was very small - not much space to manoeuvre from the loo to the sink! Barely enough toilet paper provided for one night. Breakfast was awful. I had poached egg on avocado toast which was stone cold when served.
Clean, comfortable room and very welcoming staff. They were a real help and genuinely saved me after a difficult evening.

Check in was efficient, although I was a little thrown by the pre-authorisation deposit for the mini-bar in my room (perhaps I didn't read the small print) and the need for a physical card for this.
The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space and storeage for a short stay.
There was a hole on the inside of the bathroom door which had been left after the door had been rehung. There were various scuffs on the paintwork in my room and I found the decor throughout the hotel dark and gloomy, especially when I returned after an evening out.
Breakfast was disappointing, the front of house staff member was in the kitchen more than he was front of house, and there was no means of requesting service, which meant I only had one cup of coffee and no toast to accompany my full breakfast.
