Comfortable, budget horel in good location
Pros:

The hotel is in a good location to get to the town centre, although the walk is uphill to the hotel which could be a struggle for some. You can see the sea from right outside the hotel, and you can get food next door at some sort of restaurant (I didn't look closely). The room was clean, and the front door closed at 11pm, so it was quieter at night than many hotels I have stayed at. Equally it was quieter in the morning- I was up at 7am, but didn’t hear any others before then). It did have a very squeaky bed but it was comfortable to sleep on. It is a budget hotel; it met my needs.

Poor stay!
Pros:

On first arrival the hotel seemed to be a decent budget hotel, however the room was not as we expected. The walls had been poorly repainted, the bathroom was so small that the sink had to be put in the bedroom, the shower did not work properly, looked as if it should have been a rainfall shower, but maybe only 4 of the shower holes actually let water out. The bed looked comfortable but dipped in various places, the springs stuck out and dug into the body. The floorboards creaked above us, and the tv was very small for the size of the room. Overall we had a very poor nights sleep, so ended up calling it quits and leaving the hotel a day early to avoid another poor nights sleep. When we checked out early, we were not asked why we chose to leave early or if we had enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant basic hotel
Pros:

One night stay after going to a concert at the BIC. Chosen for convenience & price. It is just a 5 minute walk from the concert venue.
Staff pleasant & helpful.
Single room had the basics needed for one night -
Wifi, TV & a good supply of tea/coffee, though a bigger cup would be nice (small point).
Downside, the room was in need of some TLC, but fair for the price. Unfortunately I forgot to report the shower before I left, which had not pressure, but was just enough to manage...

Quick Family Trip
Pros:

A clean, good sized family room, very comfortable, very near beach.

Pleasant, informative owner.

All in all very good budget place to stay,no major frills, these weren't expected or needed for us.

Accepted Dogs, a must for us. £10 per dog, very reasonable really.

Breakfast was available but we did not need.

Bar small and adequate.

One or two noisy guests but was for a short time and d8d not affect our stay.

Parking is limited but a reasonable car park is very close too.

Did the job perfectly
Pros:

Very friendly staff. Allowed us into one of the rooms early as it was ready. Perfect location. Was lovely to have our rooms next door to each other (thoughtful). Only down side was the rooms were very hot had to sleep with windows open and traffic was a bit noisy, however nothing to complain about. Would be happy to stay again.

Pros:

Clean tidy room basic but good for one night. Currently having work completed and refurbishment so lots of rubbish in the car park which didn’t fill us with a great impression on arrival. But reception polite and very tidy in hotel with basic amenities.

A room with a bed.
Pros:

Very bare bones hotel. Expensive for what you got, and we had to ask to get the sheets replaced as we arrived... It did the trick for visiting friends for one night, but I’m sure there’s much better around.

Only unless there's nowhere else to stay!
Pros:

The parking for £10 is very steep, the hotel entrance is the only tidy thing about the hotel, very unprofessional, awful service, no WiFi, poor layout of things to do within the hotel, no food offered for evening times, bedroom itself was poorly painted, wallpaper peeling, bad paint work everywhere, beds like rock, windows filthy and the TV was in a foreign language which was set by the hotel.

Acceptable, clean, tidy but basic
Pros:

Staff very helpful and friendly. Parking was expensive at £10 per night when there are lots of cheaper places to park locally. Loads of stairs to our attic twin room, which was a good size and freshly painted but very basic. TV in the room did not work and it was late when we arrived, so couldn’t be bothered to climb down snd back up all the stairs to report it. Generally clean, tidy and welcoming, but I wouldn’t use this hotel for an extended stay…one or two nights would be enough.
