Exceptional hotel in the heart of Nichols hill.
Pros:

My husband and I both agree the shower was exceptional. My husband described it as a hug. It was also very beautiful. The whole hotel feels like a hidden gem in the middle of OKC.

Cons:

We had some cocoa that tasted like sludge. It was free and was who knows how old but it is what it is.

Pros:

The building and lobby area was absolutely beautiful. The pool deck was luxurious and had a good view. The room was very clean and comfortable and attention to detail was taken with lighting and bathroom fixtures.

The bed was terrible. The room looked directly across from the busy street. The chair in our room was stained - who wants to sit on that or put their stuff there???

Hard to beat in OKC
Pros:

This is a really excellent hotel. It is comfortable, well furnished, located in a nice area with things in easy reach by walking, and has a restaurant featuring good renditions on Oklahoma cuisine plus cocktails. We'd stay again.

Cons:

I wish the pool stayed open later.

Pros:

HIghlights: Television that could stream, magnifying mirror in bathroom, robes in the room, wine refrigerator and refrigerator drawer, and wonderful beds. Staff was lovely.
Did not like: Room was too small - two queen beds only allowed for one chair and a small round table - difficult to work on. Only mirror was in the bathroom. We were on the ground floor and the windows were not tinted - we waked outside and could see directly into the room when the curtains were open. No towel rods in the bathroom.

I loved the pool and the pool bar! John was so friendly and made us the best drinks! I love the spicy Paloma. It was our 22nd wedding anniversary and we loved our stay at the Ellison! Magical!
