The establishment itself (common areas, staff) is great but the studio was not adequate for a weekly stay.
Pros:

studuo with kitchen and laundry appliances, close to transportation, pleasant neighborhood, very friendly and accomodating staff.

Cons:

-No housekeeping services (available but for extra fee), however no cleaning supplies (broom, rags) were provided in the studio.
- Poor ventilation.
- Problem with central heating, unable to control during stay.
- Poorly functionning kitchen stove and oven. The stove fan was not even working.

Perfect for a weekend away with friends, great social spaces and bedrooms away from common area.
Pros:

Lovely spacious apartment, well appointed. Beds clean and bathroom clean. Kitchen needed a little more attention. Info or handbook in the room on how to use the oven etc would have been appreciated.

Cons:

Lots of flies in the room on arrival, could have done with being aired out better. Kitchen had been wiped clean but could have been wiped down better and had a deeper clean.

Pros:

Great, quiet location with a big Sainsbury's around the corner and nearby bus connections into the city centre. The Locke Studio was great for value and looked exactly as expected from the pictures and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Cons:

Our air conditioning stopped working on the first night and for the 2 other days we stayed which wasn't ideal as it gets stuffy fast, even with an opened big window. Staff apologised for this and informed us that it was an issue throughout the building. The walls are also a bit thin so we could hear other guests chatting while passing our door.

Nice enough.
Pros:

Clean, good, affordable accommodation.

Cons:

Not a comfortable place to relax/ limited seating area - more of a bedroom with a kitchenette. Wouldn’t want to stay here for more than a couple of nights as felt small, dark and just a squished hotel room with facilities.

Pros:

The price was ok on the edge of Cambridge

Cons:

Staff. Parking. Room temperature the air conditioning was broken. Check out staff were rude. The car park barrier was then faulty and we could not get out for 25 minutes.

Missed opportunity for what could be a nice concept
Pros:

Modern and in convenient location near Park&Ride

Cons:

Small bed was problematic. A/C was not working because according to staff it was switched off building wide “outside of the season”. The room therefore was very warm and stuffy. Also, there was a fire alarm in the middle of the night, so I couldn’t sleep after that at all. It was a false alarm but I suppose poor ventilation does not help prevent this.
There was no room service (only once every 7 days) and it took me half an hour to figure out how to order towel replacements.
All in all my stay was exhausting, unfortunately.

Deceptive pricing, ambivalent and rude staff
Pros:

Cool design, nice and clean

Cons:

The fact that it is effectively cost £20 more than advertised as parking was £20 and it’s located in a place only people with a car can get to. The air conditioning didn’t work and the room was hot all night, the staff said they’d reset the thermostat for our room from the master control, but it did nothing. I mentioned to the morning staff member the next morning and he just said “I know, but it’s not our fault and there is nothing we can do about it.”, without smiling or even just saying “sorry about that.” I don’t complain about staff vibes, anywhere, because I know it’s difficult working in public service positions and everyone can have a bad day, but honestly just not very cool or personable, which costs nothing and is easy to do, or at least fake it.

Unfortunately not as good as our last stay heee
Pros:

Good location rooms are nice and spacious

Cons:

Asked if any potential for early check in and staff member was quite blunt and said no and not possible to now pay for early check in (it was 3.20 and check in at 4)
Noisy air conditioning which didn’t work - when we flagged as we were leaving the receptionist laughed and said “the noise wouldn’t be from the air conditioning as it doesn’t work, that would be the extractor fan!”

Great if you're in cambridge for a short while and looking for something more than just a hotel room
Pros:

Well designed, furnished and laid out rooms.

Cons:

Only downsides were: there was a long walk to my room, cutlery was hard to find and coffee hadn't been restocked - all minor
