Great staff. Small tweaks.
Pros:

Lovely modern apartment with excellent kitchen and bedroom. Great location for centre of Cardiff.

Cons:

Dogs allowed on seating at breakfast was slightly disappointing. Quite unhygienic. Not the hotel's fault per se, but guests need checking.

Great place to stay for a visit to Cardiff Bay/theatre
Pros:

Fabulous location and great staff. Sam in the bar was great and very attentive

Disappointed that this stay did not meet the level of quality and service I have come to expect.
Pros:

Many of the staff were exceptionally professional and responsive, and clearly dedicated to delivering a high standard of service.

Cons:

The breakfast experience was not as enjoyable as during my previous stays, with a noticeably reduced selection of both hot and cold options. Additionally, the overall quality did not meet the standard I have previously experienced.
While the majority of the staff were excellent, we unfortunately encountered an issue during the evening of the 23rd May 2026 with one male member of staff. When we requested fresh towels and a duvet cover, we were advised that fresh hand towels were not available. The duvet cover provided was visibly stained and did not appear clean.
I raised this concern with the team the following day, and they were both apologetic and surprised by the situation.

An excellent hotel choice, far superior to other chain brands
Pros:

The size of the room, the use of a full working kitchen (dishwasher too! Madness) not that we used anything more than the kettle and the fridge, the option if we wanted to was fabulous. The beautiful view of the wharf from our window. The lovely sunny terrace.
It was immaculate with a lovely shower and the most comfortable bed too
The complimentary breakfast was also a winner

Cons:

£10 parking a night felt a bit steep, but for ease we paid it. That said upon returning back to the hotel around 11.30pm the carpark was so overfull there were people just abandoning cars all over the place, both inside and outside of the barriers. Thankfully we had left the car and walked into the bay so we didn't have to contend with the shambles of a carpark ourselves

A nice enough hotel let down by the breakfast service
Pros:

It was clean and modern and the location was convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The breakfast was the worst breakfast experience of any hotel we’ve stayed in. The first day was ok not a great deal of choice but otherwise ok. The Friday and Saturday were awful. We came down and there were no tables that weren’t occupied or full of dishes. There were no plates, cups or bowls and the one staff member that was there had had to recruit a member of reception to help. We only got a table by clearing dishes ourselves. Lots of food was missing for example there was no bacon. The following day we had to go back up to our room to get some semi skimmed milk as there was none available.

The area felt isolated and intimidating at night. There were a few lights around the docks but it was very dark and it felt uncomfortable walking back at night.
