Immediately upon arrival reception staff were smiling, expressive, warm and the atmosphere was welcoming like a school reunion after many absent years ❤️ we were upgraded immediately with no questions because of some flaw, so that was amazing. Rooms are perfect for come & Go. Spacious bed, bathroom and the interior had a very modern but subtle addition. Breakfast on the top floor, gym and spa! 5min walking to Roma termini / 15min walk to Pantheon and Trevi Fountain and 10min walk to Colosseum. Perfect location to all restaurants and bar! No need for taxis. Recommended!
We went for our honeymoon. The room was nice and the staff were very polite. Before our arrival, I requested a decoration with petals to surprise my wife, and although there was an extra charge for the service, it was beautifully done and I was happy with it.
The rooftop is lovely, the spa is relaxing, and the hotel is extremely central, perfect for visiting all the main monuments by foot.
However, we had one major issue: we couldn’t sleep. And considering that restful sleep is the most important part of a hotel stay, this was a big problem.
The room was simply too hot. We stayed for three nights, and on the first night we both woke up in the middle of the night completely sweating. The room temperature was about 28°C. We went to reception and politely explained the situation, but we were told that from autumn to spring the air conditioning doesn’t work due to environmental reasons. I’m not sure how accurate that is, but if this is true, the hotel needs to find an alternative solution, it’s impossible to sleep in such heat.
I asked if they could at least lower the temperature to around 22–23°C, and the receptionist said he would try, but nothing was done.
The result? We had to sleep with the window open and listen to all the noise of a busy metropolitan city. On top of that, I ended up with a cough. I barely slept, waking up every hour.
Unfortunately, this really affected our experience. I am genuinely sorry for myself and my wife, as nothing was done to help us with this issue. Overall, I’m quite disappointed.
A lovely boutique hotel in a great location. Staff very kind and helpful especially Mateo. Very spacious and clean room with cleaners every morning. Would definitely stay here again
After spending 4 nights in Albania we were off to our next destination which was Rome.
I organised this all myself. Again I used Ryanair for our flights from Albania to Rome and the hotel through Booking.com.
Our flight was at 8am and only took 1 hour 25 minutes. I managed to sleep which was great.
With Security at Ciampino airport it is one large line then it splits for EU and non EU. For British people it is the electronic machine. Our bags were waiting for us when we got through security.
We had a prearranged a taxi through Booking.com. This was our first time doing this and I was very impressed with how they kept us up to date with this. For example where to go to meet our driver, the drivers name and number.
As we had an early flight our room wasnt ready but the hotel did keep our bags for us.
Our room was in a separate building. Which the staff took our suitcases over. It does have a very funky lift. We were in room 703. The room is very modern. It has a coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge and a hairdryer. There was plenty of room to store our suitcases and clothes.
The hotel does have a rooftop bar and also a restaurant on the same floor. If you book a table with reception you get 10% off the bill at the restaurant.
The rooftop bar is open from 6pm to 11pm. There was plenty of tables and chairs. We came here twice during our stay.
We also tried the restaurant which was a little bit pricey.
The hotel has a gym, swimming pool with two alcoves with a jacuzzi and two jacuzzi beds, then there is a sauna, steam room, Himalayan Salt room and a ice pod. We waited until our last day to use these facilities as it was such a fun and relaxing way to end our holiday.
A little tip is take your flip flops otherwise there is a small charge.
The location of the hotel was within walking distance to a lot of the attractions. Plus there is plenty of restaurants and bars near to the hotel.
This was our itinerary
Day 1 of our trip
Hard Rock Cafe for lunch
Spanish Steps
Exploring the shops
Trevi Fountain
Back to the hotel rooftop bar
Food at the hotel
Day 2
We took a taxi to the Vatican City.
I highly recommend booking your tickets online to get into the Vatican. Then we walked back stopping off for food and drink.along the way.
Day 3
We walked over to explore the Colosseum and the Hill and grabbed lunch here. Again I highly recommend booking your tickets online and they are strict on checking you are there at the right time.
Day 4
Our last day.
We enjoyed the hotel pool and facilities.
Hard Rock Cafe for lunch
Then different bars before heading back to the hotel for a very early night as we were checking at 3 am.
I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
I stayed at Hotel 77 from 15th to 18th September 2025, the first was fine but after that I regret to say it was a deeply disappointing experience. For a large part of our stay, there was no hot water, making it impossible to shower or maintain basic hygiene. Despite raising this issue with staff at the time, we were met with a dismissive and unhelpful attitude.
I submitted a formal complaint to the hotel on 22nd September, requesting a refund for one night as a minimum gesture of goodwill, given the disruption and lack of service. To this day (21st October 2025), I have received no response at all — not even an acknowledgment.
This level of customer service is frankly shocking. Two follow-up emails were also ignored, and it is impossible to get in touch with anyone beyond a generic “info@” email address. There appears to be no accountability or willingness to address serious guest concerns.
I was a bit apprehensive to visit this hotel after reading some reviews, but I had nothing to worry about.
Location - great location right in the centre of everything, all attractions can be easily reached, either by open top bus or walking. 5 minute walk to the hop on hop off bus & metro & 10 minutes walk to main train station.
Room - we had a corner suite on the 5th floor, friends had the same room on the 4th floor. Room was spacious & immaculately clean. Bathroom is large with a walk in shower, toilet, bidet & sink. Had coffee & tea making facilities, a wardrobe, safe, fridge, 2 bedside units, large to & plenty of places for clothes. Any requests for extra milk toilet roll, issue with room was dealt with immediately.
Spa & pool - this is located in the basement & open till 10pm, you booked a time slot at the desk & again this was immaculately clean & we visited on a Saturday evening enjoyed our visit in there, we all used the pool & jacuzzi area & my husband & friend used the gym, sauna.
Breakfast - nice selection for a small city centre hotel, cooked breakfast (bacon, sausage egg) pancakes, cereals, cakes, toast, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt. Plenty of selection. Only issue we found with breakfast was that some hot food was not on a hot plate so could be cold & the toaster was extremely slow. Served on the roof terrace which gave a lovely view. There is also a bar up there in the evening that served drinks & food. We visited this once but found it a little expensive compared to surrounding bars.
Staff - all the staff from reception to cleaners we found very pleasant & nothing was too much trouble. Any requests dealt with immediately & with a smile
Would definitely recommend this hotel 😊
The reception staff were rude and unhelpful. We were given a room in a dumpy building outside of the main hotel. When we complained, we were told there were no rooms available in the main building. It feels like we were just being pushed aside. The building we were placed in was dirty, smelled bad, and had a nerve-wracking lift. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
Everything was really good and done to a high standard! Room looked just like the photos, all the facility’s were great, breakfast was well worth it and the staff were fantastic
Great location, and the room was as shown. We had a family room for three nights, and it served us well.
The staff were friendly. The only downside was the traffic noise, this might not be so bad in the higher levels.
Good quality for price
Brilliant
Really nice place.
Hotel was dirty, room smell was awful & were told was normal in Rome by staff at front desk. We were not at hotel building we booked & across street building was terrible & unkept building.
The staff is great! Good location
It was a very clean and lovely hotel. Staff were very nice especially lady at reception usually does day shift (sorry forgot her name). Overall it was a lovely hotel. My husband and i stayed there for 2 nights included breakfast
The location was great but while booking at least for me wasn’t clear the room was in an other building, the problem is that building didn’t have a lobby or reception was kind of weird, the room was good but there were som
Beautiful breakfast. Very kind staff. Lovely central location. Minutes to collusium by foot.
The staff could have done a better job of letting patrons know where the amenities were. There was no pamphlet in the room with information. I only saw one at the front desk when checking out. Rooms are very small but clean and modern
The room.was clean and comfortable. The pool area needs some work, steam room.wasnt working and pool seemed cloudy.
Property located close to a lot of major attractions and train station comfortable and quiet helpful staff enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was also very good
