It appears to be quite a large building but only the ground floor was accessible. It’s being renovated at the moment so all the remaining parts of the building were not available to view. Room and bathroom very clean.
The signage was not visible due to the frontage having scaffolding installed prior to work being carried out later this month for roof renovation. Parking was very awkward due to space available.
Friendly helpful staff, clean, and well maintained. The bedroom was hot but a fan was provided. Breakfast very good, a buffet with lots of choice, continental, cereals as well as full english. Right on seafront, sandy beach and harbour a short walk.

My room was stifling hot, I slept very little. I appreciate it was a heatwave but fans should have been there. I did get one after asking but even then, because the windows barely open, it only moved the hot air around.
No drinking water in the room and I couldn't get the tap water cool enough.

No lunch or dinner is served.
Not clean enough overall.
Tea bags etc not replenished

Excellent location at beachfront.
Hotel is being refurbished bit by bit. Our room was clean and well equipped with a fan to help. Sea view room lived up to our expectations. Very good staff always helpful.
The location was very good, and the view from the front door over the beach was beautiful. As detailed below, we did have problems with our room – but once that was resolved we were very comfortable. The staff were also friendly and courteous. The breakfast was good and (self service) plentiful. The bed was comfortable.
The hotel (which was only one part of what the main photograph showed) was quite tired and some of the communal areas in need of a make-over. The parking was difficult (partly due to scaffolding taking out some of the hotel’s few parking bays), although a space was provided at the rear of the hotel. On booking I hadn’t appreciated there was an additional charge for parking – though I realised that after I had committed to the booking.
The main problem was an overwhelming use of an air freshener (or similar) which we were unable to clear despite leaving a fan on and the window open for several hours while we were out. After returning and sitting we began to feel eyes stinging and throats dry, so spoke to the receptionist. After a few attempts we were given another room which was fine.
The breakfast was delicious, buffet style was excellent.
