Great stay in Takayama
Pros:

What a great find in Takayama. Located in a quiet neighborhood, yet just an easy walk to the main attractions.

The room was really spacious, with a great shower, comfortable beds, and good air conditioning. Everything made for a very relaxing stay.

We loved this place and will definitely return.

Pros:

Very helpful and polite staff. Gave great dinner recommendations and called to make dinner reservations for us. Wonderful lobby area with beautiful space, coffee, tea and candy. Perfect location.

Pros:

Machiya Hotel's location was superb! It was nice being away from the train station and a little bit away from the river, honestly, because the hotel was so quiet and peaceful. The bed was SO COMFY, it was the best sleep I had in the 3 week trip.

Ich würde hier wieder übernachten, weil das Personal wirklich super freundlich ist und ich mich sehr wohlgefühlt habe.
Pros:

Das Personal war außergewöhnlich freundlich. Sie standen beim Abschied noch auf der Straße und winkten uns! Für mich als Allergikerin wurden extra super leckere Brötchen gebacken. Es gibt kein Frühstücksbuffet aber das Frühstück wird mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Ständig wurde man gefragt, ob Alles zu unserer Zufriedenheit ist. Wirklich liebe Menschen, die immer gutgelaunt waren.
Die Futonbetten sind erhöht auf einem Podest, sodass sie sehr bequem sind. Alles war sauber und angenehm. Die wirklich schöne Altstadt ist fussläufig zu erreichen. Man muss allerdings auf einem öffentlichen Parkplatz parken, der zwar nicht viel kostet aber ein bisschen umständlich zu handeln ist.

Leuke ligging in het oude centrum. Genoeg ruimte voor een gezin met een prima woonkeuken.

Geen plek om rustig te zitten anders dan aan de eettafel

EL DESAYUNO MUY COMPLETO Y EXCLENTE CALIDAD Y CANTIDAD ASI COM SU CUMPLIMIENTO EN EL HORARIO. EL RESTAURANTE MUY LIMPIO Y ORDENADO CON LA OPCION DE DISFRUTAR PERMANENTEMENTE DE CAFE Y TE, Y BEBIDAS FRIAS, ASI COMO GALLETAS.

Overall it was a pleasant stay.
Pros:

The room was quite large and the staff were wonderful.

Cons:

The interior other than the lobby were all quite dark including paint colours and fabrics. It gave the impression that it was old and tired and dirty but it was clean. They should repair chips in the wood and brighten up the decor. Note there is not elevator and the stairways are narrow and we only had carryon luggage

In a stylish wooden hotel, Very nice and comfortable quadruple rooms with upper beds for our 2 kids. I spent my best night in Japan :-) on top the room offers a dedicated separate living room. The staff were all very kind and helpful. Nice complimentary teas with a lot of flavors to try. 5 min walk from the city center and 10 min from train station.

Pros:

Staff were great, lovely little hotel for a night or two. Good location etc.

Cons:

Zero sound proofing, so be prepared to be woken up very early by other travellers like we did throughout the morning. We were on the ground floor so potentially worse than being on the first floor.

町屋雰囲気でとても落ち着いたおしゃれな宿でした。
Pros:

お風呂が個室貸切でおしゃれで素敵でした。
桶が置いてあると背中や顔洗う時助かる。

女子的意見は、あると助かるのは、お部屋にドライヤーとブラシ置いてあると助かります。
スキンケアセット売ってると助かります。
