Cons:

Would rather the bathroom and toilet be in one room, with more privacy.

We wont stay here if we come back but otherwise portland was very nice.
Pros:

location was probably the best part it sat in a central area.

Cons:

The bathrooms where designed badly. no vanity light what so ever over the sink or by the mirror i had to use a small light i brought to shave and my wife was not thrilled , the toilet was in a very small space (very small) and the doors to it were barn doors that kept opening by themselves. and it had no wall seperating it from the rest of the room (bedroom) just a decorative panel. Needless to say the bathroom is bad.

Pros:

I liked the room layout and design. Enjoyed some the very, helpful staff members, Chris (bartender). Gary (Front Desk), and Mark (the Van Driver). The breakfast was ok - but glad there were other items like yogurt, fruits, cereal. The HVAC system was easy to use and worked well, we were able to make our room comfortable because the default settings are usually too cool for us. Also enjoyed the beautiful waterfront view.

Cons:

Don't LIKE - not having daily maid service- prices are too high to not have a basic service as this - regardless of whose policy it is. Clean rooms are what travelers expect at a minimum - including daily maid services especially from established brands like Marriott - this makes the customer feel cheated and NOT valued.
Also the rooms have a lot of noise bleed through - sounds from adjacent rooms. Sometimes it sound likes they are in your room, (raising window shades, conversations, sneezes and coughs - sound attenuation is needed for correct this design flaw.

Had an issue with housekeeping which was really unacceptable, but the front desk manager was very accommodating and did
Pros:

The location was excellent, we could walk everywhere.

Cons:

Parking was a separate charge, which was the same everywhere downtown but the room was expensive enough.

Great location, but definitely not budget-friendly!
Pros:

Location was great, and easy walk to lots of shops, coffee, marinas, and Becky's Diner! Pretty comfy beds and a great shower.

Cons:

They're definitely angling to get more money at every turn. Very expensive parking (park at the $5 lot a block away!), expensive and mediocre food offerings, extra charges for every little thing. We also visited during a system change-over, which was a headache for all involved. A few folks in our party got double charged and the check in process took about 45 minutes.

Romantic get away.
Pros:

accommodations were excellent. W loved the scenic seaside, the old lighthouses. We found out the city has a reputation for different eating places. We choose Portland for the scenery and a romantic get away. I don't recommend the city if your not interested in eating. We hike along a coastal trail we enjoyed that. The city is very expensive to eat out.

Ok hotel but wouldn’t come back
Pros:

good location

Cons:

they had a flood so we could not use lobby areas at all. Housekeeping is just every other day so not nice coming back to a messy room even paying not a cheap price nightly. Wish it would be stated when you book the room.
Parking was told by reception that was $30/night but I was charged $30 the first night and $40 the second.

Well Located & Modern
Pros:

This hotel is very well located. It is within the Old Port neighborhood and across the street from the water. It is down at the end of the touristy area, which means that it is much quieter and easier to get to than the hotels closer to the core. Even so, it is less than a 10 minute walk to restaurants such as Luke's Lobster, so it is still very central. The hotel is very modern and clean, and our room was huge. I love that it had a mini fridge and a massive shower. Another amenity I appreciated is the mini-market off the lobby where guests could purchase snacks 24/7.

We stayed in two different rooms, one at the start, and one at the end of the trip. The initial room was a standard King Room, which looked directly onto the condo complex next door. We thus ended up keeping our shades closed the entire time, resulting in a room that felt a little dark. The second room was a King Room with a Water View, and this room was amazing! The windows were a little smaller, but we had a fantastic panoramic view of the water from our top-floor room. Also speaking of the rooms, the rooms in this hotel do not have a door between the bathroom and bedroom. There is only a dividing wall that doesn't go all the way to the ceiling, with the bed on one side and the sink on the other. Thus, the light and sound from the bathroom seep into the bedroom if one person is still trying to sleep. Not ideal.

Also, I feel like not having a rooftop bar at this hotel is a missed opportunity, considering the several other hotels nearby that have them. Lastly, parking onsite is expensive and limited (but they were able to recommend a less expensive lot 2 blocks away).

Underwhelming and Dingy
Pros:

This hotel was not our cup of tea. The rooms were decorated in a very quirky, Marvel-themed style that felt more geared toward children than adults. The first room they put us in the blinds didn’t operate then the second room the air conditioner was slow to cool the room down even with the blinds closed. Overall, the rooms seemed outdated, somewhat dingy, and not reflective of the premium price.

While the hotel was centrally located, the water view was industrial and not directly on the waterfront as we had expected from the description. One of our biggest disappointments was the airport shuttle service. We specifically needed transportation to the airport and were surprised to learn that the shuttle did not begin operating until 9:00 a.m. Most airport hotels offer shuttle service much earlier, often starting around 5:00 a.m., to accommodate early flights.

For nearly $700 per night, we expected a much higher-quality experience. Unfortunately, we found the hotel to be very underwhelming and would not choose to stay here again.
