It was nice but could be better.
Pros:

It is in a great location, room was comfortable, and the bar and games downstairs were nice.

Cons:

They only offered to clean my room one time during the week of our stay and that was the late afternoon the day before checkout and we even said something about it a couple days before to housekeeping. The fridge smelled like something died in it, and the tv was out for 2 days of our stay. Also there is no shuttle.

Cons:

We were above the bar and could hear everything all night long. Also the bathroom in our room was terrible, little privacy and zero noise buffering. It was not a great set up so between that and being above the lobby really made the experience bad.

Pros:

Very overpriced…almost $500 for a Friday night. Stayed 2 nights …the first night was next to a building site as I was awoken at 7am by construction workers.
Got little sleep on Saturday night with noisy guests making their way to their rooms. Has the potential to be a nice hotel but could not recommend.

Exceeded expectations!
Pros:

Location was great, the hotel was clean, and the rooms much better than expected! Large and modern, beds were comfortable. The staff was also super kind - shoutout to Chris, the bartender, who made our stay extra special!

A wonderful place to stay; comfortable and convenient!
Pros:

Aloft is located conveniently close to almost everything we wanted to experience in downtown Portland, and it's surprisingly affordable compared to other hotels in the city without sacrificing comfort. There are countless restaurants and shops within walking distance. Front desk and valet staff were welcoming, helpful, and professional in all of our encounters. The room itself was clean and quite comfortable, with a corner sofa and table for meals, and a spacious bathroom featuring a large walk-in shower and some of the most unique wallpaper I've ever seen. Rooms come equipped with a small smart fridge, which keeps beverages and leftovers much colder than the fridges I'm accustomed to in other hotels.

Cons:

The cost of the valet parking, while on par with other hotels in the area, still seems very expensive. The hallways are rather narrow, which makes maneuvering around housekeeping carts tricky, particularly when pushing a luggage rack. I also would have liked to have a microwave in the room. These are minor issues however, and overall, we had a very pleasant visit. I would absolutely stay at Aloft again.
