Great experience from check-in to check-out. Their website describes all the wonderful amenities but may not do them justice. From the in-room drinks and snacks, the breakfast options, the finest hour drinks, to the fitness studio and bikes, The Loutrel covers everything. We booked a king suite which was luxurious. The bedding and bath was top-notch. Our shower head had the smallest leak from the back and I just wanted to inform the hotel so they knew; and they offered to change my room! I declined, but that's the level of service. The location is perfect for the sights and restaurants.

You won’t find a better hotel in the French Quarter of Charleston. The hotel is beautiful. The room was perfect, comfortable bed and wonderful shower. The stars of the show are the staff. Everyone made us feel so welcome from check in until check out. Don’t miss out on the hotel’s breakfast in the morning and their Finest Hour in the afternoon. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Afternoon tea with Christina was wonderful! Her service was wonderful and she kept checking in, but wasn’t intrusive as I read and relaxed while enjoying afternoon tea. Also, as a Southerner who adores pimento cheese this is some of the best I’ve had in awhile. Christina told me it was made in-house. It was nice and chunky, not diluted with too much mayo, like some are.

Christina was so friendly and helpful! She was very knowledgeable about the hotel, the food, and the drinks and made us feel very welcome!

I can't say enough positive things about our recent stay at the Loutrel.
The location is perfect, especially for first time visitors. Nearby award winning restaurants, historical landmarks and other tourist attractions.
The staff is very friendly, professional and helpful.
The rooms/bathrooms are extremely clean, modern and nicely decorated with very comfortable bedding.
There are a number of included perks such as breakfast, happy hour and evening turn down service.
While there are a number of first class hotels in Charleston to choose from, the Loutrel should be considered at the top of your list. I highly recommend!

We love everything about this hotel.. it’s right in the heart of the French Quarter. From the moment you walk into the hotel you don’t want to leave. The hotel smells lovely, lobby is beautiful and reception is amazing. Plus, they offer you lovely welcome drink upon check in. Our room was so big and so was the bathroom. Everything is exceptionally clean! The bed is so comfortable and they provide lovely Terry cloth robs.

They offer beverages and snacks in your room all complementary. The same goes on the mezzanine level of the hotel. In the afternoons they offer different fresh cold water infused with different fruits. Every morning they offer a lovely European breakfast.

This hotel is in walking distance to shopping, restaurants in the French Quarter and only 2 blocks away from the market. Walking distance to King street. It’s also 20 minutes drive away from 2 different plantations, ferry away from the fort. The list is endless. I loved our trip even though it was extremely hot.

We loved the hotel so much we extended our stay for a total of four nights.

We do plan on returning to Charleston and staying here again.

Hands down, my favorite Charleston hotel! Guest service is unmatched!! So many extra thoughtful touches make this hotel worth every penny! I appreciated the very nice birthday treat left for my son in our room. This was his first stay here, and he can’t wait to come back.

Our experience at The Loutrel was flawless from check-in to check-out. The property is stunning, and the entire team goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. A special thank you to Carl at the valet/concierge desk, who thoughtfully provided us with cold water and protein bars each morning before golf. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone planning a family or friends' trip to Charleston.

Wonderful place to stay in Charleston. Close to everything you will want to see in Charleston, and the hotel, service, accommodations and staff made this a GREAT stop. They even gave us bikes for a day trip exploring without walking, and umbrellas another day for an unexpected rain shower. NO detail, no matter how small, was overlooked. Your comfort and satisfaction is their high priority.

Impressive all around. Great attention to detail. Super location- close to everythg in French Quarter. Easy walk to dinner, tours, the Market. Loved that they have complimentary bikes to use. Shout out to Christina, Tasha, Kierra and Donovan who consistently went above and beyond. Highly recommend, though the $45 valet daily parking fee is a bit steep.
