Good option in a quaint little town.
Pros:

Nice facilities, friendly staff, clean, well appointed!

Cons:

The food at the restaurant could be better. The prime rib was dry, old and tasteless. The sauté shrimp was also tasteless. Breakfast had not a single option is fruit.

Pros:

Went for breakfast and it was excellent. Everything was on point. Robert served us and was on top of everything.

The food was delicious, the environment was relaxing. I really enjoyed visiting with my friends.

Pros:

I met some friends for breakfast here, and let me say, first of all, that the view and the atmosphere were absolutely spectacular. The hotel sits right on the Darien River where the local shrimp boats are docked, and there are large windows in the restaurant to view it all. The breakfast menu has many choices. We had the breakfast special which offers eggs, grits or hashbrowns, bacon or sausage, and toast for an excellent price. Be sure that you visit here whenever you are in Darien!

Pros:

Hotel was great!
Don't pay for the breakfast with your reservations (overpriced) and don't fall for the rain insurance option! There was flash flooding the night we were there. Unable to walk outside at all and we didn't qualify for any reimbursement!

Perfect in every aspect.
Pros:

The Oaks absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the very personalized check-in process to our departure, the hotel and staff were excellent in every instance. The master suite withe it's river view, the restaurant and morning coffee service, we're all perfect in every detail. Will definitely return to The Oaks and will take pleasure in recommending to others at every opportunity.

Cons:

Nothing to dislike during our stay.
