Housekeeping. Pretty much had to keep asking for towels, toilet paper and trash bags. We did it all ourselves. No cleaning rooms for 5 night stay. Not happy about that
The location of this hotel was perfect for me to visit my family. The room was comfortable , the pillows fantastic!

My room did not have any hot water so both days I took a tepid shower. The price of the room was over the top expensive the week I stayed. Felt that took advantage of customers.

Cleaning knocked on our door prior to 11am (checkout)...maybe that is a me problem because I ALWAYS stay till 11 on the dot. I paid a good amount, I'm going to sit on the bed till I cant 😂

Breakfast great - kitchen staff friendly helpful kept the food coming even after time limit. Reception staff good. Access good. Stylish decor and building nice. Bed and room good, but rooms are not well enough sound insulated, especially floor noise level from room above, so there's thumping and crashing as people arrive late or get ready to leave at 5am.
About 1am I was awakened by a dog barking persistently seemed like just outside my room. I thought WTF: how did a dog get up on the third floor? When I got up to investigate, I discovered a dachshund was out on the balcony of a room on the next floor up facing mine. The owner seems shut the dog outside, then went to sleep not caring if the dog caused trouble or needed attention. A couple other guests came out on balconies to see what the disturbance was about. It was a good 10 minutes before the barking stopped - I don't know if another guest complained or if the stupid dog owner finally woke up or maybe both things happened. When I went to breakfast in the morning, I found another guest in my wing heading down with a bulldog on lead, so I guess keeping dogs at Hampton is what happens routinely. Neither of these dogs were identifiable as assistance or service dogs.
Allowing dogs to stay with guests is probably a decision some resort/hotels might be doing now for economic reasons even though it disadvantages other guests and makes little sense in terms of equity and quality of stay for non-dog people. I guess dog owners pay a little more or maybe it's a service you think is necessary for travellers with their pets. Dog behaviour is not something that most people can or will manage, so it is likely to annoy other people no matter what the hotel does. I think it is an appalling backward step for most guests to allow dogs in the rooms and I would have objected at the time if I thought there'd be anything done about it.
My advice: Get rid of the dogs.

The hotel was amazing. The problem was booking.com never paid the hotel bill so our reservation was cancelled and I had to book an additional hotel room and pay twice plus an extra fee because the original rate wasn’t available. Booking.com was horrible! They hung up on me then when I tried to call them and get a refund, they showed it as an active reservation. In all my years of working as a travel agent and traveling, I never had such a disappointing experience.
Booking.com didn’t pay the hotel bill their virtual credit card was invalid and the hotel manager was forced to cancel our reservation.
