Nice stay overall
Pros:

Location (real close to southern cross and trams), cleanliness, comfy bed

Cons:

Scramble eggs (from the free breakfast)/ Motion Sensor Light (was believed) in the middle of the room… if someone into deep sleeping, not gonna move at all, light will be off automatically, but another roommate actually having a shower… then the roommate got to shower in the dark… / only one madam with long pony tail working morning shift was very friendly and helpful… others not quite / self help laundry machine wasn’t very clean, not sure if the dryer got maintenance recently… some oil stains were found on the clothes :( maybe lubricant? 9/10 October (laundry in good price though, washing and dryer only cost 2 AUD each)

The location

Cons:

The staff were very bossy.
Check in is late at 3pm. No toothpaste or brush you need to ring and ask. It was so expensive. Bed was hard pillows soft no body. Breakfast had little choice. My husband fell out of his single bed. Oh and why do hotels supply 2 towels only. Women need two towels body and hair. Not happy

Cleanliness of room, spoke to housekeeping and it still was not cleaned, did not wash the floors or take away dirty dishes, did not replace towels or cups - very poor as spoke to both housekeeping and front office regarding this and ast 11.30 at night it still was not serviced

Comfortable, convenient, pleasant stay
Pros:

Great location - across road from Spencer St station. Staff are super friendly. Fantastic buffet brekky. Quality bedding with firm and soft pillows and a bathroom you didn't feel cramped in. Blackout blind was 100% effective.
I just felt very comfortable. Will definately book again on my next visit.

Cons:

No water jug in the fridge. That's pretty much it lol

Frustrating
Pros:

The blockout blind in the bedroom was excellent.

Cons:

Very disappointed in being overcharged at the bar. Twice. Took 2 supervisors to resolve.
Customer service in general was poor.
Phone to reception didn’t work. Room wasn’t serviced. Bed and pillows were awful.

Comfort, location, value - will return
Pros:

Great room and layout, excellent check-in process, helpful staff, good breakfast and value for Melbourne. Location ideal for catching a train to a regional location post our overseas holiday. Room was a fraction of the price and more comfortable than any experienced on our trip.
