This was an incredible hotel, everything was brand new, and the staff were more than accommodating to our pets. They arrived with beds, bowls, and toys with treats. It’s an amazing family, friendly destination. Very close to the hustle and bustle of Chongqing, but just 30 minutes away and you feel like you’re in a mountain in paradise.
The hotel is incredible spacious inside, while the outside has a nice walking path around a large pond with trees. Being in the mountains there are plenty of trees and no traffic noise at all. For those concerned about shops/other food options etc, there is a small shop selling snacks (chips/noodles/drinks etc) directly opposite the conference end of the hotel.
Staff are great, as was Jo who spoke English very well and greeted us the moment we arrived and gave us information we needed. There are some activities to try, we just played some table tennis which is set up in a really nice room with big glass windows on one side for a really great view. A staff member saw us playing, came in and left 2 water bottles for us! Great service!
The balconies are huge, with a long couch and a single seater to move around, and a small round table. We were roughly in the middle of the hotel with the lake view, which faced directly towards the sunset, which made for a great view every evening. We had room service dinner twice, which was really good.
There's a map they can provide of the surrounding area to give you an idea of what is there, but it's an illustration style map that is not accurate. It just highlights the main buildings and sights to see. So if you try to follow the roads on the map it will be very confusing!
So happy to have found this hotel. We stayed for 6 nights.
The sound of frogs around the lake at night is very loud! But that didn't bother my partner. Nothing you can do about it, and I got used to it after a few nights. The weekends gets noisy with activities around the pond, so it's hard to relax during the day if your room faces the pond like ours did. There's a kids "train" that very slowly circles the pond with the loudest electronic noise blasting from it every so often (supposed to be like a train whistle I guess, but it is just an awful electronic noise). It's great they provide activities for families though, so it's something to just be aware of when planning your stay. During the week was pretty relaxing.
The room is beautiful
There is always some smell of cigarettes along the corridor.
It was a pleasant stay for me and my family, we all enjoyed it. The hotel's location is more like a city oasis where I can always breathe fresh air. Overall experience was fabulous, the room cleanliness and friendly staff are impressive. Kids centre also allow me to have a serenity afternoon.
Will come back.

This year's birthday caught up with the weekend, I hope to play in the suburbs, I chose Chongqing Melia Hotel, the hotel environment is definitely the first echelon of all five-star hotels in Chongqing, and it is very good-looking with a shoot, the hotel is opened in 2021, all the facilities are maintained very well, the most surprising thing is that the Spanish restaurant inherited the Spanish ancestry of Melia Group. The perfect and exquisite realization of Spanish cuisine, as well as the hotel's various recreational activities such as billiards, table tennis, kayaking and game park, where you can choose to enjoy your holiday leisurely while you can participate in various activities to enrich your holiday.
