Nice hotel in a good location.
Pros:

Front desk and bar staff were very helpful. It was nice to see that there was a security guard on the ground floor day and night. Lobby area was welcoming and great place to hang out. The room was small but very efficient in its layout. Housekeeping staff did a good job cleaning the room. There was a large window with a good view of the surrounding office buildings along Market St. Hotel was located just a block up from the Powell Station so it made it convenient when using BART and Muni. It was also close to the Muni Station at Union Square. We would gladly stay there again.

Cons:

There was nothing that we didn't like. When we booked the hotel, we were initially concerned about the homeless on Market St and in the nearby Tenderloin area but was glad to see that the streets in the area were being maintained by crews regularly.

The hotel itself was nice, clean, and I felt safe inside. The staff and facilities were good.

However, I wish I had booked in a different area of San Francisco. While waiting for my Uber outside the hotel at 11am on my last day, a glass bottle was smashed across the pavement, which summed up some of the issues in the surrounding streets.

There was a visible homelessness and drug problem nearby, along with broken glass and other unpleasant things on the pavements. As a solo female traveller, I did not feel comfortable walking around the area at night.

This isn’t a criticism of the hotel itself, which was well maintained, but I would recommend researching the neighbourhood carefully before booking.

Pros:

Hubo un problema informático con el cobro de mi habitación. Afortunadamente, la responsable (María Alejandra) inmediatamente tomó cartas en el asunto y lo resolvió rápidamente. Todo lo demás muy bien (desayuno rico, buen wifi, habitación cómoda y excelente ubicación).
