Wenn man nicht aufpasst, kann eine Doppelbezahlung schnell passieren. Hatte ich so bisher noch nirgends erlebt.
Great location at Union Square — easy walking distance to the city's core. Room was as booked (High Floor) with comfortable bed and good city view. Breakfast included was a nice perk. Lobby and common areas have the modern citizenM character. Checked in without any issues for this 2-night stay.
Nothing meaningful for this specific stay. The room and service met expectations.
Amazing customer service. Everyone was so friendly it was sad to say goodbye. The breakfast was great, with unlimited free barista coffee included. Rooms are small but modern, clean and well maintained. Much better than the old school alternatives in the neighborhood which charge double for less.
Location was perfect for us - right by a BART stop so great connection from the airport. Just around the corner was the tram turntable, perfect for jumping on the tram. Bus and streetcar stops really close by too.
The staff were friendly and helpful, lots of tips on restaurants.
The hotel had a relaxed vibe, funky decor and our room was great fun with a tablet to control the lights, the blinds and colour mood of the room.
We hadn’t intended to eat breakfast in the hotel but the fact that items were individually priced meant we could eat a light breakfast without having to pay for a larger meal.

As frequent travelers, we‘ve stayed in countless hotels, but this place has earned a rare spot on our list of truly memorable ones.
The location is excellent - central and easy to reach from the airport. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and we slept well.
But what truly sets this hotel apart is the staff. In an industry where hospitality can feel scripted or transactional, the team here is something genuinely different. They’re warm, professional, and clearly engaged - greeting you with a real smile every time, remembering faces, and taking real pride in what they do. That kind of motivation is rare, and it shows.
Highly recommended for any traveler looking for more than just a place to sleep.
Everything was convenient
Rooms are very small for the price it is. I was expecting that it would have a sort of community atmosphere, which was not the case.

Stayed at the same property earlier in my trip with no issues — great location at Union Square, easy walk to the city's core, and the lobby and common spaces have the citizenM character I expect from the brand. The bed itself was comfortable.
I booked a "King Room — High Floor" category for 5 nights. The property's own invoice for this stay lists the room only as "citizenM room" — the "High Floor" descriptor is missing, while my preceding stay's invoice correctly reads "High Floor citizenM room." At check-in the front-desk agent first denied I had booked High Floor, then suggested a Booking.com error, then refused to relocate me. The room had a torn inside curtain and a water-extraction machine ran in the corridor outside my door for extended periods. The property declined Booking.com's formal complaint requesting room move or rate adjustment.
Amazing place to stay! Clean, quiet rooms and best community space ever. The staff were amazing and so helpful! Especially Kitty, Fernie, and Evelyn. But the fact that I can name three(!) is awesome!
The hotel staff is a joy! Leonia went out of her way to make sure my needs were met.
